Well, that was incredible. This guy obviously deserves to be in the conversation with Chris Stapleton, and yet, we've never heard of him. 20 #1 albums in Australia, eh? I remember some years ago when I heard some pop song and said, I like that guy, he's pretty good, and somebody told me, oh, that's Robbie, he's the biggest pop star on the planet. Amazing what we can not know.

Imagine. ....Jimmy is the biggest rock star in Australia's history, Cold Chisel broke up in 1983 ( have reformed a few times briefly ) and are still Australia's favourite rock, soul, jazz and pop band......but Jimmy idolises his mate, John Farnham. Cold Chisel had their first hit about 1977 and now out of hospital, Jimmy is back on stage singing his heart out. John had his first No1 in 1967 and his last No 1 album about 2015 / 2016. John was still performing at 71 yo until diagnosed with mouth cancer about 2022 or 2023. Their duet of Something Is Wrong With My Baby is a must do......and always live for both.

DISEL is Jimmy's brother in law. Made me laugh when he said he could belt😂😂😂, if he only knew. 7 children are in the music industry. Mahalia's husband is also in the industry. Check out Jimmy and David Campbell Carol's by Candlelight You'll Never Walk Alone. 4 of his kids started a band called Tin Lids when they were 5 -10 years old. Jimmy and Tina Turner Simply The Best. Cold Chisel, Jimmy Barnes, John Farnham reactions should be live as their performances are a show in themselves. During Covid the Barnes family put out videos everyday to help the people get thru the isolation.

Not only does their version do the song justice, but I dare say it may supersede the original. It has Joe's band backing them up, with phenomenal organ work that made Deep Purple what they were back in the day. That song was done by them for the (Re-machined) album to honor Deep Purple album machinehead official video will showcase all these top-tier musicians having fun and showing why they are the best in the world. This is recent Jimmy, his voice is still rock solid. There are SOO many awesome versions of this song, including the original and also live and acoustic in the channel 7 studios. Now you have to go back and check out the brilliance that he exhibited during his time with Cold Chisel - some good ones include Wild Thing and Bow River (search up the "remastered epic version" from 2003). Also younger Jimmy as a solo artist - The Last Frontier or A Change is Gonna Come! I've been loving your reactions to Elton John's albums and also Phil Collins. Fire!

Check out Jimmy with his band Cold Chisel in their early days covering Wild Thing live, or their own song, Bow River live at the Ringside concert. When it comes to Cold Chisel, they are an out and out live band that has two lead singers and the other singer, Ian Moss, has a great voice too which complements Jimmy's voice. Cold Chisel have been performing for nearly 5 decades. They originally broke up in 1983 but got back together in 1997 and produced another 4 studio albums to go with their first 5 albums. They also have a heap of live albums, naturally.

Legend Jimmy loved the 50th Anniversary concert in Melb, first time seeing Cold chisel I was 14yrs old. No better band on the planet Eva n Joe bonamassa he opened for for BB King at the age of 11yrs n it seems like Aussies know Joe more so than Americans.. Nothing better than J. Barnes n J. Bonamassa.. one of Jimmy Barnes daughters is a back up in Joe's band.. Chisel have given Aussies the greatest gift.. check out their earlier stuff etc star hotel, sat night, Janelle & four walls but listen to the other lead singer Ian Moss's Georgia on my mind best vision I've Eva heard...
