I work in water treatment. All the chemicals we have are pretty mild as far as the SDS goes, very similar procedures for storage, containment, cleanup, exposure. Except for fluorosilicic acid, ie fluoride. The pumps are in a separate room from the rest with beefed up ventilation because the vapors are toxic and the liquid form erodes steel, concrete, certain plastics, and fiberglass. Can't be mixed with other acids in hazmat waste. For exposure it will leech into your flesh and erode your bones. Since it is attracted to calcium it will clog up wash water lines by reacting with hard water. Nobody here wants to have the chemical around, but the state can revoke our ability to operate the plant if we don't comply. The Atlantic actually has a good article on water fluoridation, the zealotry of injecting our drinking water with literal industrial waste, falsified studies from 100 years ago being used to support it, and data that shows worldwide dental health improving regardless of water fluoridation.

It's one thing to blame the boomers for how the country ended up, but this personally blaming your own boomers is kind of ridiculous. They all had it easy, and they all wanted their kids to go to college and learn "better" than they did. To a boomer if you went to college you got more education than they did, and thus you should know more than they did. Learning about money and everything is really just a failure of the school systems. If there is one thing that should be taught in schools it's finance and the axes with a T word. My parents were Gen X. When I was young my parents had plenty of money. My father made most of it doing welding/fabrication and working as an electrician. He left all the money management to my mother. They both ended up much poorer when the divorce happened, but before that they were doing fine. My grandparents were boomers, and they lived pretty meager and saved a lot of money. They taught me a lot between the four of them, and they could have taught me a lot more and there's a lot of things they did that are totally screwed up and wrong. When I was young, I blamed them for everything I did. But when I reached a certain age I realized my parents were both kind of like teenagers, and everything made a lot more sense. It does no good to blame them unless you have kids and you're doing a better job, point blank.

Adderall was the best drug I've ever done, it completely changed my life. Been a Sam Hyde fan for 9 years now, bought the clown shirt, watched Dr. Manslave and Smocaine, etc. Don't listen to Sam on this one. He's 100% wrong. For the love of god, Adderall was the drugs Nazis used to do blitzkrieg. It's a badass drug. Listening to Sam's advice on this topic delayed me starting Adderall for 5 years and probably caused millions of dollars in damage (I am a medical student, I go to a lower-mid medical school when I could have gone to an elite school had I started meds earlier). Sam is entertaining but DON'T listen to him for shit that actually matters.

i was put on adderall in the 3rd grade because "i had too much energy" now after 12+ years of taking it every day im dependent on it. i tried not taking it for a few weeks and i thought i was doing alright until my boss asked why ive been unable to finish the things i start. i dont know if i would be better off not taking it but at this point in life cant afford to give it a shot idk what to do.

@@M.TTT. Absolutely. All of them are terrible tho for long term use. Even using them for an “advantage” would only be for endurance sports. As far as for school it actually worsens short term memory especially for people who use it to study. 8 hours of sleep, a proper diet is better than any drug 😎

I'll never forget in school noticing that the kids that were pulled out of the room by the nurse every day always came back a bit different. Its creepy that people would rather trust their sticky fingers doctor than actually think about the consequences of giving pills to their kids and do a tiny bit of research on them. Here's a suggestion. Stop hanging out at the bar with the boys after work and be a parent! There isnt a pill for that. I gladly was never medicated by my parents growing up but even at the elderly age of 31, I still feel that distance from them because there was a creepy forcing of religion, mainly coming from my mother, and there were many years right after school Id have a babysitter til bedtime. Sometimes I still do. She tucks me in and reads stories from The Darwin Awards. Shut up. Its a write off.

I legit would try to get along and respect my parents.. especially since there was one post Sam answered saying “dude stop fighting with your parents be mature about shit grow up” along those lines.. but man my “father” really fucked up any chances for me and him to respect eachother.. ODing and withdrawing in front your young son is very traumatizing.. or firing a weapon and ODing making me lock myself in the bathroom out of fear.. they had no future planned or finances saved when they had me at 18. all they knew how to do was punish and hit me. Then my brother was born and he was the golden child.. shit that I did was met with disdain and frustration but when he did similar decisions he was met with kindness and understanding.. now I’m about to live in my car at the end of August because I want to save money for my own place and they won’t let me do that they want “compensation and contribute and give them money for rent”.. Sam says self delete isn’t the answer but I think about it a lot. wish sam was my friend
