@@freerunspeed2165 I race in that model. For two reasons I have so many of the old ones I want to use them, and (2) I like to know I have a slightly faster shoe on race day up my sleeve!

Pool swimming is a lot different than open water swimming. Turns, dolphin kicks, stream lining don't matter in am open water swim. A lot of kids who can swim a 500 free in 5 minutes won't even come first out of the water in their local triathlon swim for these reasons...
@BAJF936 ай бұрын
I was thinking in comparison to other triathletes Sam's one of the weaker swimmers. But his bike/run is top notch.

sams swimming technique is horrible, if we worked on that we would be winning everyone at 100T including Ditlev. Can't understand how an athlete of his level doesn't work on what clearly is backing him from winning a lot more
@SamYoYoYoLong6 ай бұрын
I am working on it, very hard, in fact. I think we can compare that to many people in many aspects of life. Just cause something “isn’t good” doesn’t mean we aren’t working hard at it.
@hache49386 ай бұрын
@@SamYoYoYoLong I know you put a lot of volume into swimming but if you are not efficient in your propulsion, hand entry, hydrodinamics… you are just wasting time. You probably have one of the biggest engines in the water due to all the volume but poorly used. If I were you, I would try to find an elite swimming coach and fix technique, the marginal benefit you would obtain could be crazy. Just a recommendation, I am not at your level by no means. Good luck Sam!

Paddles are dated the notion you need strength to swim ??? Swim in a lane next to 12year olds who have little strength but are fast
