Fantastic. I was at Berkeley (Boston) in the late 70s and it was thought by my friends that I had this piece down. Well not quite, and I decided to clean up my act on it a bit tonight on this, you made it much easier for me, this is great. The one comment I can make is that you have oversimplified the somewhat repetitive figure between 3:48 and 3:52, there is actually more going on there, he varies it in a very pretty way in true Santana style there. Other than that its spot on as far as I can tell. Great tone and phrasing.

Hello and thnx a lot for your visit and kind comment. Much appreciated. :-)) About the bendings, try bending with 2 fingers. The ringfinger for the note and the middle finger behind your ring finger for additional support while bending the string. Anyway, thanks - those rolling tabs are awesome!
@PlaythatGuitar4 жыл бұрын
You are correct! I always say to others that it is never too late to start playing the guitar (my channel name's motto haha) Consider this. If you know absolutely nothing at first on the guitar and you start with chord playing, in one year you will be able to master the most common chords and play a whole lot of songs. If you start to jump into the soloing, and you give it enough practise, within 2 years you can play solos. If you do nothing now, over two years you still can't do nothing so you are on the right path with buying that guitar. To make this long story short, perhaps you can start practising my "Black Magic Woman" intro video. It's a shorter piece and especially the slow part is easy to follow. All the best with your playing and practising.
@PlaythatGuitar4 жыл бұрын
I meant "still can do nothing". Typo. 🙃

@@PlaythatGuitar .. I will go check Black Magic Woman -- Santana is tough to play (much harder to master) but yes, let's see what happens in a few years from now.
