Sambar Rice Yummy Sambar Saadam!!!

This video shows how to make Sambar rice. This is a traditional recipe from Tamil Nadu. Eaten hot, it is a tasty meal, and can be served with chips or papad and raita or any simple stir fry.
Ingredients
Rice 1 cup
Tuvar Dal(pigeon pea) 1/2 cup
Tamarind small lemon size ball
Salt
Sambar onions/shallots a handful
Drumsticks 1
Pumpkin 1/2 cup chopped
Radish 1 Chopped
Brinjal 1/2 cup chopped
curry leaves a few
Tomato 1 chopped
Coconut grated 1/2 cup
Coriander seeds/dania 2 Tbsp
Channa dal 2 tbsp
Dry red chillies 3 + Kashmir dry chillies 2
Methi seeds 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida/hing 1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder
Ghee 1 Tsp
cashewnuts a few
Somph/fennel seeds 1 Tsp
Oil 2 Tbsp

Madam, today I wanted to prepare something different and I saw your sambar rice .I prepared it for lunch and turned out to be really yummy. Tried this Sambar Rice akka...it was lovely and too much tasty though I didn't have many ingredients you mentioned like some vegetables and red chillies (used powder). This kaju tadka was new for me! But it tastes very nice.
