Hey team! Three quick updates: 1. Firstly, I have updated the ReVanced link to the GitHub Repo, as some commentors have mentioned that this is the best way to ensure the app doesn't get taken down by Google (similar to what happened to the original Vanced application). You will need to find a tutorial explaining how to build the app yourself from the GitHub Repo, or feel free to search for and download your own APK build (at your own risk). 2. I have updated the Snippet link, apologies for that error! 3. For anyone struggling to get the Ambient Music Mod working, try enabling the "Use Alternative Encoding" toggle under the Advanced Settings menu. This has fixed it for me on any phone where it hasn't worked originally. Hope that helps!!

Thank you for updating the link, I'll point this out though. Downloading/uploading these APKs (instead of building them yourself) will not make Revanced be in danger of being taken down by Google or something like that. Revanced team only provides patches and the patcher, they don't distribute any of Google's o intellectual property. Instead it's about how dangerous is to install an app made from an open source project, where you will Input your Google account. Anything could be injected into an app like that. Also it's about realizing that the revanced team doesn't provide any APKs, they made the patches and the patcher, they heavily discourage the distribution and use of these pre-built APKs to avoid users having problems (bugs, stolen accounts).

@@Imagine_Breaker Well a prebuilld APK is still against KZbins/Googles ToS because you are redistributing their intellectual property that was modified, which is the KZbin App. This is the exact same thing that happened to the original KZbin Vanced, which let to them getting shutdown by Google.

Recent update exactly you have to find it just like all your apps you have to dig through a ton of crap to get to him dude why don't you just make it simple and give a direct connection to the download button other otherwise your stuff is just a waste of time none of your links take you directly to an app download button you know like on Google Play they have a button it's called install your rating is an F oh great information you put out well put together but try to get the stuff you put out that's a whole nother story

KZbin vanced DID distribute modified KZbin APKS, which is the reason they got taken down, ReVanced IS NOT distributing any KZbin APKs The APKs you see on the web were not made by the ReVanced Team, they are built by users, if you build the APK YOU broke Google's/KZbin ToS, not the Revanced team which they only created a patch/patcher and never gave you any KZbin APK. (Which is why they won't just give you an APK.)

I've been using KZbin Vanced for years. But a couple of months back, it was discontinued due to legal issues. Then I moved on to KZbin ReVanced and am still using it. There's virtually no difference in the experience. No ads, background play, floating mini-player, horizontal gestures for volume and brightness... Fantastic app. A huge thanks to the developers.

"For some unknown reason it's been removed" it's because the concept of these apps are not inline with the policies of the Google play store. Mostly due to copyright issues, just like Torrenting is an issue in the EU.

Here is a guide for you guys on how to install ReVanced. This video was published 5 days before the alpha ReVanced Manager was released so now the process is much easier. Disclaimers: 1. NEVER install a pre-patched apk as it may contain malware 2. The entire project is still in development, so be prepared for occasional bugs and issues. 3. Only devices with Android 8+ can patch as youtube dropped support for Android 6 and 7 a few months ago. 4. Armv7 devices are not currently supported(you can check your device's architecture by going to the Manager's settings and scrolling to the bottom). You can still get ReVanced, but you have to patch on a non-armv7 device and transfer the patched APK to the armv7 device. 5. A non-root install is recommended(even if you are rooted) as it is currently more stable. 1. Download the ReVanced Manager from here: github.com/revanced/revanced-manager/releases 2. Download a KZbin apk(not bundle) from here: www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/youtube/youtube-17-49-37-release/youtube-17-49-37-2-android-apk-download/ DO NOT INSTALL. (This is the currently supported version so it's important it's exactly this one. Downloading from google play won't work as split APK patching is currently not supported.) 3. Download Vanced MicroG from here: github.com/inotia00/VancedMicroG/releases (If you are rooted you may skip this step) 4. Disable the pre-installed youtube app, use Universal Android Debloater to completely remove it or if you are rooted, you can simply uninstall it. 5. Open the Manager. Go to Patcher -> Select Application -> Storage and select the youtube apk you just downloaded. 6. Select the Patches you want* *The MicroG support and the Client spoof patch are crutial. *The Debugging and Remove Screenshot Restriction patches are known to cause issues, so you might skip them. 7. Press patch and wait for about 2-5 minutes(depends on how fast your phone is and on the amount of patches you've selected). After patching is done, install. 8.After the app is installed, open it, sign in and configure the bonus settings to your liking ;). They include: -adblock -sponsorblock -background playback -picture-in-picture -downloads(through third party apps such as NewPipe, PowerTube, Seal, Ymusic, etc. You have to install one of these and put their package name in the download settings. You can install Package name viewer to help you) -swipe controls for volume and brightness -copy link/w timestamp buttons in the video player -Dislikes(through the Return KZbin Dislikes API) -seekbar tapping -removing shorts and many more tweaks that let you customize youtube to your liking(the current amount of patches is 51, 49 of which are specifically made for youtube). Guys please don't install the precompiled ReVanced apk. The whole point of the project is to build it yourself. If you want to know how to build it go to their subreddit. There's even a revanced-builder tool, developed by one of the subreddit's mods, that builds it for you.
