She's truly a rare talent. Her ability to hear little nuances and to blend different layers and keys of her voice to blend her main voice with her background vocals is just STELLAR. Unbelievable how a woman of small stature can sing like a powerhouse of a opera singer.

@@Symplastmail If I'm not mistaken, singers do tend to be able to learn just by listening to other people, even if they do learn more technical music theory. Not as a matter of "permission," just by listening to music. Much like how authors learn their craft by reading books, when they have time.

She's not operatic though. Her voice is very light, it's not like she's a heavyweight singer. I don't know why people keep being surprised about her height in relation to her vocal ability.

She was born to sing. But what was interesting about her, based on early, personal posts, was that she consistently experimented with her voice, in the studio to her bedroom. Just her, just singing, layering her voice, harmonizing with herself, recording over and over and over. She’s truly gifted and skilled.

You’re such a good dude. I really like watching your videos. You’re so good at what you do. I always chuckle when I see you identifying the notes people are singing because I do the same thing when I’m listening to a good singer. I am an empathetic listener (like my larynx knows what they’re doing) and Ariana Grande is usually a really comfortable singer to listen to. There are some singers I have a hard time listening to perform because it hurts my throat. Like I said, she’s impressive for frequently singing comfortably. There’s a performance of her doing God is a Woman live on Good Morning America where she has laryngitis. I typically get really sad listening to singers perform when they’re sick because I can hear how much it hurts when they don’t modify their approach. Even in that performance I could hear her singing comfortably (with laryngitis)

Ariana goes above and beyond practicing at getting better and making sure she knows her songs inside and out. (Partly because when she started out she forgot her lyrics and stuff a lot) she does sing all day everyday and knows her stuff so well ❤️she also always sings live and is passionate about that and she says her fans expect her to be live and she is live. Her bands that have gone on tour with her have said that they haven’t ever seen a singer like ariana singing live every single night for over 200 shows lol. Love her! And agreed, I miss the live and not super auto tuned which makes ari so much better live. I LOVE Olivia Rodrigo for not being auto tuned because it’s so refreshing to hear her perfect voice

So if I ever come over to America again I’ll let you know 😉☺️ I used to session sing years ago and missed out on a recording for the title music for the film ‘Spies like us ‘ by Paul McCartney . I was put forward by my friend Kate Robbins who was the second female vocalist out of the three needed . I have a wide vocal range and had mastered my break at b flat but it wasn’t good enough . They wanted a female with the vocal dexterity of Ariana that had a lot of control at the top part of her vocals . I did learn a lot from it and it did make me work a lot more on those vowel sounds and my breathing in the higher range . I was bummed out at the time but I did go on and do other gigs.
