One song im happy that dave did with V.H is you can't get this stuff no more. It's kind of like a goodbye song even though it was recorded long before eddies death. I just wish Sammy would stop talking because often, when someone can’t shut up, it’s because they’re trying to convince themselves and everyone else that something is the way they want it to be. Ed probably did respond because he was that kind of guy. But it doesn’t mean that things were all roses and rainbows. I always prided myself on being a Van Hagar girl but the more Sammy talks I’m less of a Sammy fan. Not to forget he gave Howard Stern permission to put out a statement on his behalf telling everyone the same thing the day or day after Eddie died. That did it for me. Very selfish.

I'm happy someone is talking about Eddie. As huge and well known Eddie was, after his death I was irritated as a fan of how the Grammys etc...the mass media treated Eddie. The Academy gave more attention to a man who had kids in bed with him, but the guy who absolutely changed guitar got 15 seconds.

@@phildodson6141 It never happened . Warner Bros DEMANDED a greatest hits album . Ed told him do it or walk . That was HIS choice . In the VH3 promotion issue of THE INSIDE MAGAZINE , Al Edward AND Mike all said Captain Candyass QUIT . Sam even told one of the reporters he didn't want to do the greatest hits album .

Alex dropped the tribute because Sam wanted to be part of it? Dumb ass move. I wouldn't pay 50 cents to see a tribute with DLR. He sucked in the early days and even twice as bad now. The only tribute band I would see would be Alex, Sammy, Michael, and possibly Wolf on guitar. Maybe bring DLR out for one or two songs, but that's it. DLR is such a goofball these days, one or two songs is about all I could stomach. That's assuming he agrees not to talk for five minutes before each song like he often did back in the day. No one likes to hear DLR talk more than DLR.
