Hey, margarita fans - I know this is gonna sound crazy, but if you follow Sammy's recipe here, but also add a bit of pureed ginger root, it makes this awesome marg even awesomer, especially on hot, Cabo-y days! Cheers, everyone!

Hell yeah! I regularly buy dehydrated, "candied" organic, unsulphated ginger to eat (low sugar) because the flavor and heat is the best. (secret of barbecue too). I will absolutely try this, and with Santo too because it is so nice to me.

@@pgmurray76 - Well, if you're gonna try it, I might as well give you a final tip (especially because you're a barbecue fan). Replace the simple syrup from Sammy's recipe, and sweeten it with REAL maple syrup instead. Fresh lemon juice, maple syrup, pureed ginger, ice-cold water and a fine tequila. It's my favorite cocktail by several miles. Enjoy!

I got to have a margarita made by Sammy back when he waa touring with the Waboritas. I was an up front fanatic at the show. He stopped in the middle of the show and made margaritas on stage! He handed me the first one he made and damn was it good, especially on a hot day in the front of a GA crowd at a rock show. Of course I sipped and passed to my fellow up front fanatics. Great times at a Hagar show! Keep it up Sammy!

Have you ever been to Parker, Arizona on the Colorado river? South of Lake Havasu, is the town of Parker. The river is home to a couple floating dock bars, one of which would be the prime candidate for a Cabo Wabo. Back in the 80’s and 90’s, the Sundance bar and grill would bring in so much traffic that Jim Shuben the owner would brag about making millions over a holiday weekend selling $2 Coors and Coors Light beer. The Sundance is for sale. I’ve been saying for years how it would be a match made in Heaven for Sammy Hagar to buy the Sundance and convert it to a Cabo Wabo. I’m telling you, it’s your kind of people. The Parker strip is one of the last true American waterholes that brings people in from Vegas, Scottsdale, LA and Orange County. It’s where the rich go and hang their hat for a weekend. It’s such a fun place. If I could ever talk you into visiting, all you need to do is show up. We got the rest handled. My folks keep a place on the water with their boat and water toys in the garage. Consider it like a recruiting trip 😎 In all seriousness, Cabo Wabo is a great place and the town of Parker would benefit as much as the brand would. The airport is about 20min from the crib, if I could ever show you around, it would be my pleasure - won’t cost you a dime, just get yo ass there. We will be seeing you Father’s Day weekend in Cabo 🤘 All the best,
