Samosas start with a buttery pastry cone that is stuffed with a spicy and savory potato filling. Then the pastry cone is formed into the traditional triangle shape and then deep fried until the exterior is blistered, crispy, flaky, and golden brown. The first bite will have your friends and family asking for more of these savory triangles of deliciousness.

Better than any Indian samosa demonstration I’ve seen so far. I love samosas, but I’ve found the restaurant version where the pastry is raw inside, and the filling not so flavourful. Will try this at home.

Hello Laura, It is good to hear from you! Freezing the samosas are a perfect way to always have them on hand for when you want to enjoy them. I recommend filling and shaping the samosas and then place them on a parchment lined sheet tray so they are not touching. Cover the samosas with plastic wrap and place the sheet tray into the freezer overnight. The next day frozen samosas can be moved to a plastic freezer bag or airtight container and returned back to the freezer until needed. The samosas have a 2-month freezer shelf life. Fry the samosas directly from the freezer for the best results following the same steps for frying as directed in the recipe. Please let me know if you should have any other question. Devon Fresquez I demonstrate dividing the dough into 6 pieces that will make 12 filled samosas. You can divide the dough even further to make smaller samosas if you like.

Hello xelloss sai, It is nice to meet you. The wonderful thing about cooking is you can change up the recipe to suit your own taste. You can replace the potatoes with any ground meat you like. I would recommend to brown the meat first then pour off any extra fat before continuing the recipe with the addition of the spices and final ingredients.
