SAMOUT Vehicle Awning Overview

After searching for an affordable awning for the side of my Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, I bought the SAMOUT 6.6' x 8.2' vehicle awning, available on Amazon. It came in real handy our first evening there, had a constant drizzle and we were able to sit outside.

Setting it up at home in the middle of town is the most ideal and EXACT spot and time you want to set up your gear before getting out to the field and finding out something doesn't work... Good vid. I'm debating between between the Samout and ARB for my Suburban.

This looks great! How long are the legs at the longest? I have a lifted Jeep Wrangler will this be an issue?

According to the link in the description, the legs extend from 4' to 7'

Did the mounting brackets you used come with or were they a separate purchase?

Did you drill into the unit to mount the smalller bolts? Or slide them in the back?

The only drilling I had to do was through my crossbars. Everything else was already setup.

It probably is the same, I know of at least one other brand that is the exact same. I actually looked into the NAPA version, but could only find it in the 8 foot width, which was a little too long for my vehicle.
