@sharonjacobs9514 жыл бұрын
I discovered this video very recently because they’re playing a commercial here in the states (I’m LA, California born and raised) with Final Form playing in the background. I immediately look at my sister and said, That song is sampling “Stay Away From Me” by The Sylvers! They were our favorite group back in the 70’s. We saw them perform live many times. My sister looks at me like I’m crazy, lol! And I instantly go into...”The life I had with you is gone for good, now someone else stands where you’ve always stood. So stay away from me and don’t come back cause if you do you’ll have face the facts, the true love in you I’ll never see”. My sister says, you’re right. I didn’t even recognize it. So now I’m interested to know how this young lady from half way around the world found this Sylvers song from another place and time. And mind you, this was not like a hit song or anything. It was on The Sylvers II album so it’s amazing to me that it’s being sampled today let alone by a beautiful Zambian young lady. I have watched this video over and over! It just speaks to me. I never in my lifetime thought I’d see anything like this.

My son and i witnessed her flow on the Truly drink commercial. Now we dont agree on music very often (hardly ever) but we both wondered if this was a real song. Boom here we are fans.
