Excellent. I've been performing this for >15 years on OmniScan MX/2 and most often using the Focus LT. The only thing I do a bit different rather than looking at the backwall, I will set the Time Base Start to -0.100in ... rather than zero I will start negative to see all of the top surface. This works great in immersion with Focus LT & TomoView and the same principals apply as you've shown here with the OmniScan. I use this to also verify the Height to First Element with water wedges & Focus LT. This technique will satisfy ASTM-E 2491, Annex A3 and ASTM-E 2700, 8.1.1 for Zero Depth Position. Great job presenting this!
