Thank you Leo for showing the world and the you tube community a good and proper way to build a wood boat that will last generations. Some of the saddest videos I see are those of people spending years to build their boats with substandard materials thinking everything will be fine not realizing the dramatic effect it will have in the life of their boats. The true cost of a boat is not so much in the materials but in the labor to assemble it. You are showing the world a masterpiece in creation. @James Lawson Yeah, understood. I've also done both types of labor/work and many things in between, as well. I shoveled mountains of horse manure on Saturdays for pocket change when I was 12 years old to buy art supplies, when I wasn't under my dad's wood boat on my back, on the gravel covered hard, painting the hull bottom with antifouling paint in the spring, mowing lawns or helping dad do carpentry projects or whatever. I've made art, design, photography, video shorts and music, built furniture, computers and guitars... much of it professionally... multiple college degrees from very demanding programs, etc. THE POINT: Leo clearly does Herculean amounts of physical, intellectual, analogue and digital forms of work, seemingly indefatigably. Leo also clearly loves what he is doing. It's extremely admirable.

Watching Pete open up and be a teacher of the trade has been one of the most enjoyable aspects of this project. Does anyone else but me do the head bobbing thing along with Pancho?

You know you have a lot on your plate when you enjoy trimming plugs. Great video and Pete in front of the camera is becoming a true professional.

Do not underestimate how ridiculously sharp those chisels are....

Throughout this project I’ve been impressed every time a chisel is in play. I feel lucky if I can just put a decent edge on my mower blades.

I understand about trimming the plugs....I love mowing my lawn.....I find it peaceful and diverting. I use nice noise-cancelling headphones...sometimes silently, other times i'll listen to non-fiction audiobooks.....and I usually stretch the job out.

I can't wait until they trailer the boat back to the boatyard and see the look on their faces when they see Tally Ho in all her glory!

Y'all are fucking insane, and I mean that as the highest form of compliment possible. In an era where everything is increasingly about money and fame y'all are testing EACH FUCKING RIVET for longevity. That makes me incredibly happy. Keep on keepin' on!

Cheers David and Rowan! Best wishes to both of you for your future. The boat looks awesome, great craftsmanship from all involved. Pancho needs to be made permanent crew!

David and Rowan 👍🏻 I think the attitude and work ethic you guys displayed will make a resume that speaks for itself. Btw as a old guy it does suck getting old but you just learn to use the knowledge you have gained along with the cash and pay you pups to do the hard stuff.🏴☠️

Leo, ur videos are so excellent only 10% of viewers remember to click the thumbs up. Now, we all know it's just an oversight on their part. Pity tho that you can't take that to the bank? Now about this tub you're building. Powerful strong and absolutely gorgeous. Thanks man ! She's a purler.

I get so happy when I see how well the construction goes. I look forward to the next episode. I live in Sweden in the archipelago in an old fishing port. Today, the fishing boats are no longer there, just leisure boats, which for me makes your work with "Tally Ho" so important. You preserve a way to build boats. Fantastic, I'm impressed.
