Excellent product. I bought this mic to make some quiz videos for kids, and I must say that this pocket dynamo is an absolute value for money!

The software or something that he's using to record the Samson is creating a metallic sounds and lots of distortion. The microphone sounds a lot clearer in actuality. I would find another demo if you want to hear it's RAW quality. I've just bought one for travelling and the quality is amazing for the size!

well, if it's windows, just go to the sound devices and switch your speakers or whatever back to the sound output. From what I hear basically this mic automatically sets itself up as like it's own sound card, so if you plug in your headphones to the little jack on it you can hear everything through that.

I just received mine and love it! One comment, it's time for a new TV set, man! Go online, to Walmart or anywhere and order a replacement! Get a dummy from IKEA... LOL Just messing with ya! I haven't found any negative reviews on this mic and that's a good thing. I did a lot of research before making the purchase and it seems I made an excellent choice. For the price, it's hard to beat the quality of the sound and portability. Thanks for the great review!

Maybe you can help. I first seen this mic at my doctor's office when he was using it with Dragon Naturally Speaking, he had it hooked up to win 10 and a hotkey to turn on/off. I bought one but having issues hooking up with Dragon and hotkey, any ideas?

I live in a crowded locality. My room gets lot of noise of kids playing. At night my room echos a lot. I wonder if this mic can eliminate those noises and record only my sound.

It can, you'll just need to use the Unidirectional setting, which only picks up sound from directly in front of the mic. If the environment is noisy enough, it may still pick up ambient noise, but not as clearly as it will pick up your voice. In that setting, be sure to sit close to the mic so that your voice dominates the recording sound cone.

You can make a mini-studio box too. I used a tray from an old refrigerator (you can use a storage box or even a cardboard box) and placed foam padding all ong the sides, top, and bottom. Then put the Go Mic in there and figure out which of the 3 settings is best. I also use a pencil holder made of metal mesh (dollar store item) with a sock over it to act as a pop filter. It cost me $1 total plus the Go Mic was around $30. Can it get any cheaper to have a "home studio?" lol

You can bend a wire hanger in to a circle and stretch a pair of stockings over it. It works but it looks pretty ugly

You do not need to be close to the microphone. I got it cause of the -10 setting, i can still hear people from across my house talking. Dont even get me started on the normal one direction setting. :|
