I'm one of those f***ers who don't really care about phones. I have one because I have to, to stay in contact with people. And even then, I mostly use it like a landline phone. I rarely bring it with me :P But oh well... I've had an iphone 4s for what feels like a decade, and have been refusing to upgrade because of those insane prices. I wasn't aware they were making budget smartphones nowadays. And a quick look at the stats, this phone is still miles ahead of my age old iphone. So think it's about time I'll upgrade.

Just bought an A40, and so far very impressed, been using an old S6 since they came out, but the A40 at this price is blinding. The size is great too, no huge bulges or protrusion from the pocket, to be honest , not into gaming, so can't see the point in giant screens, if I need bigger I use my tablet.

That is exactly what I did. Paid it 200€, it's one-hand friendly, battery is quite enough, charges pretty fast, pictures are better than average, face recognition is very fast (yet might not be super secure) fingerprint scanner is great and 64GB of storage and last but not least it has one of the smallest chin in android mid-range smartphones if not the smallest lol

I have just gone from a J5 to an A40. The A40 is so cool. The brightness changes depending on the light level in the room. It does it automatically. The only downside i see with this phone is the audio quality doesn't seem as good as my past phone. Slightly more muffled. I do like the A40 tho. Quite sleek

I like this! Will be getting the a70 in a bit..but this is not bad at all! You can always get a working apk for the gcam, this is a good contender against the pixel 3a, but the screen itself pays off as I can see, same as audio quality..this is a well rounded phone imho, a bit more expensive that the 3a but if you will be watching a lot of netflix and other video streaming this is the phone for you, amoled will never fail to impress you..! The pixel 3a is very good as well, maybe I just like the over-all things that the a40 can offer, you are getting more features with this, the screen, the screen!

Negative is when making/ receiving a call when it touches ear or face then it opens any programme on the screen...ie you get a screen full of numbers etc...on the my old Galaxy S4 it had a feature that stopped accidental touching and yes I accept this is a budget phone, but this feature to stop the accidental stuff would have been a great free feature...

There's something wrong with your proximity sensor on your phone I'd imagine. When putting the phone to your face, the screen should go black, so you don't press anything on the screen.

I'd suggest a 40 because it is more compact and offers quite a bit more than a 10. (Better display, dual cam, fingerprint sensor is a bonus as well..)

Hello mate, yes this definitely would be. The GOME U9 would be an improvement in terms of speed and performance and maybe camera in some situations, but obviously you may have issues with no software updates and maybe lack of support if something goes wrong with it. Samsung is a safe bet.

I was gonna buy the a50 but that thing is huge compared to this. One of the reasons why I avoided going from my iPhone 8 to android. Phones are huge these days. I would've loved the s10 but its just too big to carry around. This phone however looks nice and is the right size for me.

Bought it for my 7yr son (mostly for play pokemon go and watch some KZbin) and i must say it is a great phone considering it's cost! Great screen, good specs (The ui feels snappy with no lag) and a great formfactor! The battery is ok (but man, pokemon go litteraly eats power like an old refrigerator). The one downside could be the plastic back (looking a little cheap), but it can take a hit or two without break. Overall: A great phone for a great price (and that is not a bad rating from someone that prefere iPhone and iOS)

I have an S10+ and excluding the 2018 A series. The midrangers have improved so much over the years! I had an A5 2017 and an A40. A40 looked better but the A5 had a slight edge in performance and build.
