In my experience from using memory foam tips with other in-ears in the past, the main issue is their durability, they only last a few months before becoming degraded and fragile. Eventually they will easily tear and need to be replaced. Silicone tips last much longer.

memory foam tips defeat the purpose of sealed airbuds as they let sound out. the silicone plug is essential to their function, just get cheaper buds if youre gonna ruin the experience this way.
