I actually dropped my new 10+ note trying to do this, It slid off my laptop and fell about knee high. I'm pissed at the sleekness of it being too slippery. No visible damages though.

No... it can only be external that's the difference between internal storage and external storage some applications need to access and be constantly synchronized with internal information and memory in your phone. SD which is removable data can be easily corrupted Unless you make modifications*

Hmm, it looks just like the Note 9 tray which allowed one slot to either be a 2nd Sim or SDCard. I'm wondering if that is true with this as well?

depends on the region. in USA Galaxy phones have been this way for the past 4 years or so (SIM and micro SD slot on one tray)

Note 10 plus 4G model is dual sim/ or 1 sim and sd card. The 5g version is single sim and sd card like in the video.

You could just take out of your old phone if you have one. If you bought the phone from T-Mobile then it's probably already in the phone. Otherwise, yeah ask T-Mobile.
