Hi, your video is quite encouraging. I am wondering how you added your Gear 360 into your "remembered Group" in your wi-fi direct setting. At 3:15 in your video, I found that you had added "Direct-cR Gear 360" into a Remembered Groups. This could be the reason that you could connect his phone to Gear 360. Do you remember how you did it?

Thanks for your video. I finally made my Gear 360(2017) working on my Nexus 6 with Android 7.0. The key is to setup the wifi direct.

John Li I can't get WiFi direct working only Bluetooth any tips?

I had the same problem before. You may need to connect it with wifi first by switching to iOS and get the wifi code. Let your cell phone to search the wifi devices and use the code to get connected. Switch to Android and get the Bluetooth connected. Go to Wifi direct and press Peer devices. go to the Gear 360 App and press connect. You may need to go back to the wifi direct now and press Peer device again. It takes about a minute to connect. It works well on my Nexus 6 except dowloading video from camera to my phone. A key to the success is to disable the update function of this app immediately after you install this program.

it's paired for me but I can only do remote control stuff from Bluetooth. The wifi connects on the system level but keeps spinning to search on the app side. I this happening to anyone else?

Hi, I can't seem to get the app to load on my phone. I'm downloading it from a web browser on my phone directly to my downloads. It installs but hangs when i try to launch the app. Any thoughts?

Sorry, I don't know. Mine don't show in the app when saved either, but Google Photo's shows them, so it's not really an issue.

Maureen Spina at the moment still couldn't get any solution yet. Strangely it works well with iPhone 6 which supposed to be incompatible.

Click it, cancel the request. It will rescan, and find the camera again. Repeat until it connects

After you install you XDA Gear360 APP on your phone. Follow these steps precisely. On your Android Phone > Turn "Mobile data" off! Turn your "Gear 360" > Hold down the "Menu" button, until it says connecting in the display. Press/tap the "menu" button (this toggles between various connecting options on gear 360), until its says Connecting to "iOS" (only in iOS mode you can connect to it via WiFi, silly I know) On gear 360 display will show its wifi password. Write it down. On your phone go to WiFi setting and find your SamsingGear360 option and connect to it. Once connected press/tap "menu" button on Gear360 until the display says "connecting to Android" Turn your on "Gear 360 APP" > press "Camera" menu While its says "Loading" Go to your phone WiFi settings >WiFi Preferences>Advanced>WiFi Direct Let the android search for nearby devices. Device should come up under Peer devices as "Gear360" press ok. ULtimately it pops up with a message "Invitation to connect" and then you press "Confirm" and this should automatically take you to the GEAR 360APP. Thats it. Going to the Wi-Fi direct is the annoying step which you will have to repeat as these steps should be done in a right order. Also, if other devices pop up and stay within "Wi_Fi" direct" list try to press and forget them.
