I have the odyssey neo g7 and don't have one issue with it. It's crazy how amazing the colors and contrast is. Haven't noticed any ghosting. The curve took a little bit to get used to but it feels natural now

I've never used a curved monitor and that's my biggest concern. Also I think the G7 would have suited you better, basically the same panel but 165hz. Plus there's been a few issues with the G8 I believe.

Why would you not just have the monitor set to 240 anyway. G sync will always make sure your pumping out as many frames your GPU can handle and sync it up anyway even if your only getting 130 in a particular game you may as well have those extra frames right? Also can hdmi handle 4k 240 with HDR .4.4.4 ?

You were upset a 1500 monitor didn't have speakers built in? What high end monitors do? The chapter ones do like 200 - 500 dollar ones, but they always sound like crap. Sometimes mine defaults to those speakers and they sound so awful I have to switch it back immediately. In other words you like the speakers built into monitors and hate external speakers? But love good quality monitors? Seems weird to love one thing but not care about something else as important. I have decided to pick one of these sup, and the price is now down 200 dollars to 1299, so that's nice.

I said I love the built-in speakers from my BenQ monitors, the have a 2.1 front facing speaker setup that is one of the best for monitors and I don't have to deal with external speakers and extra cables, is not a deal breaker to me cause Im using my headphones for gaming, but picture wise is the best I've seen on a monitor.

I didn't hear any mention of the obnoxious curve. I purchased the Neo G7 last week and returned it a day later. Picture was amazing and I'm sold on mini-LED, however, there's no reason for a 16:9 panel to be curved. I use my monitor for everything: productivity, PC gaming, PS5 gaming, and Switch gaming. Open a Word document and it looks like it's wrapped around a Coke can. Just just make the damn thing flat.

The main reason i game on a monitor is the smaller size, 32" works perfectly for my setup, the QN90B looks amazing but the G8 fits in my desk and also looks fantastic.

Is that a TV? Mate monitors are monitors and TVs are TVs yes you can game on both but they are pretty different use cases if your pc gaming yes you can plug it into a TV but if your a mouse and keyboard player then it's awkward and the higher refreshes and typically lower response times are also nice to haves. If you do decide to go with TV then I'd definitely go oled as well

It's not included because it's an ultrawide 1440p and not a 4k monitor. Hdmi 2.1 is more for 4k at 120hz. I hear some issues with text looking weird on the oled which is a shame because oled is awesome. I have the neo g7 just so I don't have to deal with worrying about burn in till they fix it.

I have the g8 because I wanted better functionality with console and pc so a 4k screen is more appropriate for that though you can still play console just fine on the oled being an ultrawide means you will have black bars on the side. Assuming that doesn't bother you having seen both in person and tested them from a pure picture quality and gaming on pc standpoint the oled is easily the winner. The g8 mini led is impressive with how much contrast it can do but it just can't complete on the pixel perfect light control of oled which even though the g8 can technically do brighter highlights it just doesn't look that way to you eyes. And the clarity given by pixel level control just can't be beat. If your sensitive to motion blur the oled also handily beats the g8 being an oled it just inherently has the near instant pixel response though the g8 is one of the best LCD displays in this regard. Viewing angles being an oled is obviously way way better of you care about that for a monitor that your going to be sitting directly Infront of the Samsung is using a va based panel so view angles are never going to be a strong point. With all this being said it sounds like I'm just shitting on the g8. I'm not it's a very good monitor assuming you get a good one. Probably one of the best displays you can get for the money. Actually good HDR displays have all being at least £3000 till this point and may well be the best "gaming only" 4k HDR displays right now there is also the neo g7 that's a bit cheaper and you only sacrifice the 240hz for 165hz instead. You can also actually buy the Samsung the Alienware you have to wait. There is that auas oled display but it's 42 inch wich may be a bit big for you but that also has awesome picture quality being an oled display as well

The monitor looks amazing, but there is so many Quality Control issues with Samsung that I'm still not willing to give this monitor a try. I tried some of their previous monitors and all had issues. I'm looking forward to the Sony Inzone M9 monitor though, I wish they had in 32 inches, but It still looks really good. Glad you're enjoying this monitor though, It looks amazing. I'm still not a fan of the curve, Wish it was a less aggressive curve, I still much prefer a flat monitor.

Sony M9 send me back, look it up on Amazon, so many issues, I had weird bleeding in the middle of the screen... I bought the NEO 8 from someone who tested it for 72 hours, so he basically did quality control and I picked it up for €800 and it's insane.

if you are going for overall picture quality the oled wins hands down especially in black scenes but the g8 can get much brighter so it trade blows it all depends on what you want.

Monitors don't have ARC function, it only works with PC, you have to connect speakers thru your PC.

I don't have the C2 but I do have the C1 48", now in black levels Oled wins, picture quality they are very close, this monitor is very close to Oled black levels and is bright, I love Oleds as a TV but for monitor I definitely prefer this G8 model.

@@CreatorOfWorlds we can both and agree that the ideal monitor is a flat panel 16x9 32 inch 4K 120 Hz QD OLED panel with three HDMI 2.1, one display port 1.4 with display stream compression, and a USB-C port which upstreams video from a laptop and charges it at 90 watts. Textured glass finish and 1000 nits brightness is my ideal monitor. That and a built in USB hub and auto input switching

I love the C1, the only reasons I don't use it as a monitor is the size, 48" is too big for me and the chances of screen burn are much higher from static images, if you don't mind that then I wouldn't upgrade.

The game looks much better on my CRT much better. Thats why im a bit meh on all these new monitors they cant match the FW900 on image perfection.

I also got an Neo G8 1 week ago. What graphic card are you using? With my GTX1080 Ti FTW3, 240hz is not available at 4k resolution... Also, when I turned HDR on, there are shadows on texts, scanlines on desktop icons, but in movies/videos, it looks fine. Do you experience the same issues?

The 1080 wont support 240hz at 4k. its display port 1.3, that is max of 120hz at 4k. they said something about firmware upgradable to 240hz at 4k in release jargon for 1080 but I doubt it ever happened since it didn't exist then. You will have to upgrade your GPU with the monitor (if you dropped this much on a monitor a new 3080 ti or rx 6800 XT should be affordable known with the price drops. I saw you can get a RX 6800 xt for 800 now vs 1200 what I paid just a few months ago, just crazy.

I have RTX3070, I normally play at 1440p and 240hz is available but I don't think my video card is capable of reaching that performance, I only use HDR for gaming and it looks fantastic, I turn it off for other programs.

Just do whatever you can to make a 55 inch S95B work for you... The difference between 144hz and 240hz is miniscule and you will get a 10 times better picture.. Regardless, the amount of games you can play at 4k and 240hz with max settings is also miniscule.. If you get a S95B that isn't bent on firmware 1211, it's easily the best tv/monitor out

Well, I connected my PS5, I've been playing Horizon FW and it looks fantastic, VRR works, HDR looks awesome, 4k120hz works with no issues, even ALLM works so yes it works great with PS5.
