Samsung S90C QD-OLED | Game Motion Plus And Why I Use It

It’s one of the many reasons I decided to go for a Samsung. Just ordered a QN90C. Samsung has way more features in game mode than any other brand, even 8 different image presets while some brands only give you a single image preset while in game mode. I like that Samsung gives a lot of their attention to their gamer customers

Awesome video. I play JRPGs too. I was considering QN90C but saw the S90C on sale. I LOVE motion plus settings on my previous Samsung TV’s. It didn’t have game motion plus, but film motion plus introduced hardly any noticeable input lag and 30fps camera was so smooth. I returned my X90L as I was getting dizzy with the motion blur and if I increased motionflow, input lag was so significant. I would need to reduce the blur effect as I’m too sensitive and even had it max for Yakuza Like a dragon quality mode and it was smooth camera 30fps.

I wouldn't use it for movies just me personally samsung does offer a motion interpolation outside of game mode which I suggest you look into. Thanks for viewing.

Hmmm. I tried to use this with Hellblade 2 on Xbox X. Turned off VRR and ALLM on the Xbox, but Game Motion Plus is still greyed out. I know this is a 30 FPS game, so why isn't it available?

I haven't tried the new hell blade, my advice is to make sure everything is off that can interfere with game motion plus.

I just got the Samsung S90d. It has game motion plus, but I can choose level 1 and level 2. Any idea what that means and when to use each level? Thanks in advance.

Level 1 and 2 depends on the amount of "motion smoothing" you wish to add. My best advice is to get in there and mess around with it yourself.

One last question, with my s90d I've had for about two weeks now I haven't did a firmware update. I've heard stories of Samsung nerfing brightness on certain models. Do you feel your Samsung has been nerfed since updating it? Thanks.

Hi is the game motion interpolation just as good as normal motion interpolation without game mode? I have a lg c1 and use motion interpolion as i dont care about input lag as i only play solo games. Hope my question makes sense

is the game motion interpolation just as good as normal motion interpolation without game mode? I would say no because samsung offers low latency motion interpolation. However if input lag is not a concern do as you wish.

I'm wondering if it reduces OLED motion blur by 50% just like a real 120fps would, when gaming at 60fps? Motion Plus bumps latency up from 10ms to 20ms, and supposedly has motion artifacts as well.

Game Motion plus helps and yeah I know what you're referring too I thought something was very off but I adjusted some settings and it works like a charm

My goal is to reduce motion blur and my old Samsung TV’s allowed motion plus outside of game mode that allowed me to turn the camera of 30fps games without that “blur” and no other brand can fix that without adding significant input lag. Would you get a QN90C or S90C?

I believe that's samsung's black frame insertion.

The S90C's BFI cuts down 50% of motion blur, but the latency increase is awful. You go from 10ms without it, to nearly 30ms with it, and you lose half of game modes brightness.

@@mrbloushi94 Gaming at 120fps will give you around 5ms of lag which is fantastic, and like BFI, it also cuts down 50% of OLED motion blur, aside from doubling the frame rate. Gaming at 60fps will hit you with 9-10ms which is also very good.

I only use it as a last resort, it adds lots of noticeable artefacts on most games which is just as distracting as the games framerate

Understandable, not everyone sees artifacts the same if it's a bother definitely do not use it.
