I have a samsung ln55c630 that has vertical and horizontal lines all over. It has a perfect picture when first powered on after sitting for a while. Then the lines show up after a few seconds. Could this be the t-con board or a bad screen?

Alyssa Price Some semiconductors can be substituted, however, only when the specifications, and parameters such as pin location match. As for High-Density semiconductors ' chips' many are custom designed and can only be substituted with an identical type, irrespective of which PCB it originates from. The Part / Type number etched on the Chip must match. The problem we face here is very often Manufacturers will etch their own number on a particular chip even when it may be identical to a chip found on a foreign PCB. Some Manufacturers have been known to 'Invert' the pins in the opposite direction, so the pinout 'appears' different, and only one with an astute mind who pays attention to detail will notice this trickery. The majority of people will fail to see it. Thus when attempting to substitute components, one must pay attention to detail and double-check everything. In most cases it is more cost-effective to just purchase the original OEM component, A client will not pay for the time one sets aside for undertaking research and analysis of substitute components.

Howdy, I Have Hitachi LE55A6R9 HDTV. The power comes on blue light when I turn it off red light stays on. The screen is black and there is sound on some inputs. I removed the back cover and cannot tell if the back lights are on. Then I did the flash light test and can see the menu as a video instructed. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

What should the values of the 2 caps be? One measured 2.44uf and one that had partly desoldered itself was 2.11. Replaced the chip but still black screen.

I could use some help with my Samsung UN46D6003SFXZA from 2011. The picture and audio stopped a few minutes after powering it on. I tried resetting it by unplugging and holding the power button for 30 seconds. When I plugged it back in I got a standby light so I turned it on again. Samsung logo appears for 2-3 seconds and screen goes black. Standby light blinks 5 times and dies. I tried disconnecting the cable from the power supply board to the main board and the backlights came on. My problems are: How do I determine if it's the main board or the t-con board that is bad? If it's the t-con board, how do I get the LVDS cable off? It has a connection type that I can't seem to locate in ANY videos. I do have access to an electrical tester but I have never used a soldering iron.

I have a Sony 2017 model KD65X8500E that has sound but no picture. In the morning when i turn the tv on it works for a while then the video dies but sound on. If i switch or unplug tv and turn back on only sound is on. Next morning when i switch on i do get video again for a short time. This sounds similar to this vids problem but help would be appreciated.

There is a difference between ON and on Same applied to OFF and off The greater majority do not know the difference, and despite that they see it written in the ALL CAPS on various EL-ectrical appliances, they are blind to what they are looking at because the majority of people are not observant of the details of what they are looking at.
