A good thorough video on maintaining your Samsung vs70, vs75, and vs90 cordless vacuums. I start off showing you how to take the container off, emptying it, and putting it back on. Then I show you how to wash it and how to take care of your intake and exhaust filters.

I bought the Samsung Vac and totally totally needed both of your videos. I was very afraid to remove anything but our video's gave me the confidence to clean my system. L appreciated the detail you went into and your voice ( sounds silly ) was also reassuring. Very well done and very appreciated like I said.

If you still have some odd smells or if the suction doesn't seem as good as before it's because the plastic cyclone filter is clogged or dirty with whatever is retaining the smell. Just like the HEPA exhaust filter or the intake filter it can be bought and replaced. But it can also be taken completely apart and really cleaned well. There are 3 phillips head screws that are accessible from the bottom. Those hold the whole assembly together. It's rather obvious how it comes apart and there aren't any tiny pieces to lose and there's only one way for the parts to go back together. The hardest part is putting the 3 screws back in but it's not really that hard if you have a screw driver that can reach them. Hope this helps!

I've had this vaccum for a year and I love it. I've been cleaning my vaccum every month, exactly like you do in the video. I cleaned it three days ago and let it dry till today. I just put it back together, but it doesn't have any suction power. It turns on and then it suck air in for like 5 seconds before it shut itself down. I've tried without the dust bin, and it functions normally. And I've tried taking it apart like 5 times and it's still the same result. Has anyone had this problem before?

Amazing video and I hope you know how helpful you have been here Question which either can or can’t be answered, I have the jet60 over in the U.K. does this thing need to live ‘in charge’ in its holder… or does anyone recommend charging fully and switching off at the plug
@AroundTheHome1
@AroundTheHome1 2 жыл бұрын
I never leave my tools plugged into the charger all the time. I get them charged then take them off, or shut off the charger. Even though some will say it doesn't damage the batter to leave it on, it doesn't do it any good either. Newer chargers will shut down to a trickle charge when the battery hits full capacity, so to not force a full charging force into an already charged battery. Now, that will definitely ruin a battery pretty fast. Older chargers definitely did this. But here is the thing. If you want the best overall life for your battery, then take it off when it is done. A battery has only so many charges it will take. And that is really based on how many usable hours a battery cell has. Both for charging and discharging. So, even though a trickle charge is not "damaging" the battery because it is very slow, it is still using up the batteries usable hours. Again at a very small rate, but I hope that answers your question.

If you are talking about the exhaust filter in the purple metal sleeve, then I don't recommend it. It is a paper pleated filter and I don't believe it would dry out right. I blow mine out with my air compressor. You can also buy a brand new one for $20 on Amazon. www.amazon.com/Samsung-VCA-SHF90B-XAA-Replacement-Filter/dp/B08LMVTD2S?crid=3S4YBA93JDBG2&keywords=samsung+jet+70+filter+replacement&qid=1662673159&sprefix=samsung+jet+70+%2Caps%2C127&sr=8-5&linkCode=ll1&tag=greatwhitenin-20&linkId=09d28b4c4f4efa18a8b79a90e001d69b&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl Also be careful when washing the other filter. @Oerger89
@Oerger89 Жыл бұрын
Seeing so many of these comments i begin to wonder how many bothers to read manuals.. I mean.. Its an expensive item, and the manual says everything about maintenance. Also about the ultra fine (exhaust filter) now i dont know how they made it, but if its hepa-grade and not washable, (any real hepa shouldnt be washed actually) then its bettwr to shakd and eventually replace. Compressed air destroys and/or divides the fibres and reduce its effectiveness drastically.

Thanks for this informative video. I am from UK, and have a little question. The HEPA filter in violet is marketed here as compatible with Jet75 as well as jet 90( on Samsung UK website). But on the actual filter, jet 90 is not listed as a compatible vacuum, only jet 75. Does the same HEPA filter fit both jet 75 and jet 90? Unfortunately the shop assistants here were not sure, hence the question. Thank you.

I'm not sure where your question comes from. I go through in detail how to take care of both filters in this video.
@hotmas
@hotmas 3 жыл бұрын
What he calls the exhaust filter or pleated paper filter is the actual HEPA filter, he got it mixed up with the micro filter in the bin. The one in the ring around the motor is the HEPA. It can be hand washed with mild soapy water, just like the micro filter in the video. Needs more drying time, though.
@AroundTheHome1
@AroundTheHome1 3 жыл бұрын
@hotmas, you are right. I do mix up the HEPA filter in the video. Though I do explain how to clean both. And you are also right, you can wash the HEPA filter, exhaust filter, in mild soapy water instead of blowing it out, it just takes a couple of days to dry completely.
@hotmas
@hotmas 3 жыл бұрын
It is a relevant question, though, because both in the video and on the packaging, the HEPA is not shown soaking in water. Also, in the manual, the instruction for cleaning the Ultra fine dust filter (HEPA) does not include washing with water. But on page 12 in my manual, there is a table that includes the HEPA as a washable part. So there is good reason to be unsure if it is really washable. Thought it would be useful info. Your videos are very helpful, by the way :)
@AroundTheHome1
@AroundTheHome1 3 жыл бұрын
@Hotmas you know, you are right. It wasn't a bad question. I should have been more forthcoming with an answer. I just have so many people that watch the first 30 seconds of the video then stop and ask a question that is very much there. Even though I do talk about using an air compressor for the HEPA filter, washing it is a viable answer and one of the ways I personally take care of it. Thanks for being a viewer, and thank you for your input.
