The biggest problem on any car by exchanging the seats is always the connection of the plugs. I bought very much motivated seats for a classic bmw 530d E39 to replace the old ones. By no chance we were able to connect the plugs of the car with the plugs of the replacement seats. The one who could help us the least was the bmw main dealership. After many tries. The car is a Facelift E39 and the seats came from a pre Facelift model, that was the only difference. Complete different story of electrics and plugs. It would have been a nightmare job to make them fit to each other. So I sold the seats again with some profit and put the old nice one in again

How on earth did those red/green wires come apart?, that’s a few wires in a fat, static loom, wrapped together, which is under a screwed-down plate, which is under sound-deadening foam, which is under a carpet which is fixed in place by a kick-plate .. it’s not like they’re moving about much! 😀

Hi, Sam. I had a question. What do you recommend for brushing out and cleaning up the ivory door cards? Mine are not terrible, but upon close inspection, they've got dirt and old sweat in the finer grooves. I imagine a boar hair brush and some interior detailer with UV protectant...but what do you recommend?
@SamsMotors3 жыл бұрын
Hey Carlos. I've used a stiff bristled brush in combination with an interior detailer to pretty good effect. The other one to try on stubborn bits is magic eraser - but be very careful as they can be quite abrasive.

It's not great is it? I mean if it had proper wire splices under there it'd probably be ok. But a combination of damp ingress and foot traffic on top of it means the splices pretty much all fail eventually 🤦
