The esthetic of this game is amazing. It feels like something straight out of a manga and the atmosphere really helps it. I've never heard much about this series other than this game and now I wish to learn more about it.

@@AVPboy6754 I know that way too well. SNK had a lot of bad luck through the 90s despite making many successful titles. Plus they would end up being bought out by Aruze in 2000 who in turn pulled the plug on them one year later. Much of SNK would join together to form Playmore and would go to buy much of SNK to form SNK Playmore. Eventually they would drop the Playmore bit and become SNK once more. Tragic yeah but I admire them.

I will always love the stories of the Samurai Shodown universe. They are the best representation of such colorful, interesting and foreboding events and their characters have awesome backstories and designs. I always remember the time when I am playing them in arcades that they make my excitement increase especially when I am able to finish a character story and see its ending. @@ShoryuGame is possible but cant happened in actual canon. soul calicur is from late 15 hundreds to early 16 hundreds. sam show is in the late 17 hundreds. is know is a fun idea, unless they can time travel.

Haohmaru is based on the legendary swordsman, Miyamoto Musashi. Endlessly searching for strong opponents is kinda his thing, so it's quite possible he never found what he was looking for, but did end up saving the world a few times along the way.

Considering that Season 3 is here and we're getting more characters, it just makes the game's story worthwhile. At least Iroha is FINALLY canon and I mean freaking finally. And there's a rumor that Amakusa may be joining but if he does, this will throw the story to the trash because since this takes place after 5 and before 1, I don't know.

Been binging the Samurai Shodown Lore series and the fact that we're getting a Season Pass 3 for this game AND the fact that a character from Last Blade is coming to this game, I think it's fair you should do a focus on The Last Blade series. It was made by SNK and has an interesting story. If anything, SNK should bring The Last Blade back.

They should do a movie or series that ties these events and prepare us with the next game and proceed without the back and forth story.

I really dislike games that do this, having new games be prequels to old games but still continue the story and give zero contexts to where it takes place, and I hate what snk has done with their recent games "stories" like no actual story mode just an arcade mode where it really doesnt tell you which characters actual matter. And plus I really dislike when they say they wanna get new players to the franchise....yea making a game that's takes place before the first game but is a sequel to the 5th and doesnt even explain its games story or lore to you

The gamelplay is very fateful to the original SamSho games. Very simple combos and executions, the focus is on the timing and the reads. It's very different compared to other fighting games, and that's what makes it great.
