Where I work we are not allowed to accept tips from customers. Tips have to go in the charity box. If we get a tip and put it in our pockets and management find out they call it "Stealing" and will be fired for it. I work in a supermarket cafe. I'm looking forward to working in a restaurant where they let the staff keep their tips! Until then i'm stuck where I am in the supermarket.

As awful as their behavior is and I'm sure they have no family or friends who put up with them, some things have happened to make this lady react this way (and her husband.) She cannot deal with criticism because it will collapse her entire fragile self esteem and all the thoughts she keeps at bay about how inadequate and terrible she is will crash down around her and destroy everything. It is so very sad, because these are the hardest people to change because they cannot admit they need to. Reminds me of my parent very much, with much less crazy but same sort of never their fault, always the other parent is to blame. I do truly hope these two can get therapy. Sadly, Amy seems to have a lot of crazy mixed in which probably hinders much growth and change.
