6'6", 300lbs, he's got the size can tell he's new to these drills, he needs to become a bit more explosive but I sure hope he makes it!

Lawrence was only going through the motions for our cameras on his press Day and was not at full speed (as he would have been at the NFL Combine). Once or twice he did "turn on" the speed & power and looked mighty explosive when he wanted to.

His size alone makes him a exciting addition.. Something to keep an eye on.. SF has the staff in place to make this kid become something special.. I truly believe that

throwers are the most explosive athletes in the world

As a discuss thrower, I believe he has explosiveness already. Discuss throwing requires the lower body to explode

Look at what they did with Aldon Smith nuff said man, I'm a Patriots fan and my NFC team is the NINERS but this is just ridiculous they got such a RAW talent like this future pro bowler for sure.

agreed, it's clear everything was half speed, you could even hear the guy at the begging telling him not to risk injury or 'tweak a hamstring' :)

Hopefully he makes the most out of his chance in the NFL

3-4 DE is perfect for him. Main responsibility is to draw a double so the lineman don't get off into the backers. With his speed and strength there is no chance in hell he won't get doubled

haha yeah under 10 secs at that size is unheard of

For me it was that he wasn't very smooth in the drill. He hasn't trained his hips for these drill yet. How was he when he when he did "turn on" his speed and power? Did he sink his hips a little more or did he just power his legs up?

he's done a 4.7 for the 40 yard and 10.95 for the 100m, he's very explosive haha

He's fast, why didn't they try to have him play Linebacker? Coaches were saying he needs to learn to play lower to the ground.

Hed be a helluva story for my Niners if he pans out

I wish him all the luck in the world, especially because I root for the 49ers, but a discus doesn't hit you back

His footwork sucks. It'll take him some time to learn this game but I think he can do it.
@Johnrap11 жыл бұрын
Footwork is lacking. It's not just lacking for an NFL player though. It's like non-existent. Let's see though. Anyone can look bad at footwork after spending the last 3 years spinning in a discus circle.

nice story, but he won't make it through the final cuts. Defense relies too much on instinct and technique and this guy has none of it. He might make a pretty good rugby player.

I'd be pissed off if I was a free agent from the NCAA and he took someone's place. Considering he has never played Football. Just goes to show the NFL is all about the money and not it's fans.
