This would never happen while I was at the job, whenever we've had the police someone has been there to immediately explain the situation, more times than not be because I'm the person in charge on my shift. A manager of the restaurant should have waited outside for the cops and told them that the real person in this call drove away from the restaurant. Police are human💙 and of course they make mistakes.
