Sand Trap

The first job was a small carport that needed to be upgraded and put back in position after a little windstorm.
The second job, while seeming simple at first, was complicated by the fact that there were problems with the clutch and transmission. Specifically, that the clutch would not disengage, and the transmission would not come out of gear easily.
With me not being in the Rzr, it took a few minutes before I was fully aware of all the problems.
After we were all on the same page, we were able to easily get the Rzr back to camp.

For that car port --- Weld two pieces of 'I-Beam or C-Channel to line up with her tires. Then it acts as a parking guide, stiffen up the frame of the carport, and will have the weight of the car holding it down. That's what we do for blizzards and storms with 60+ mph winds in North Dakota when we dont have garages.

@@LawF250 You are mistaken. Slicks ( or buffs) in the front are the preferred front SXS tire for sand and if does make a difference when you engage 4wd with front slicks.

If you have flip a carport again. Put a couple of braces from side to side at the bottom to make it more rigid when flipping it over. A couple of 2x4s would work. Enjoy watching everything you do in your recoveries.

That is the only time I have ever seen the concrete bottom of the underpass from the res to the dunes. I had always assumed it was only sand under there.

That carport was in pretty good shape for being flipped over and 50 feet away from its starting point. In most states they require that they be bolted to a concrete pad or footings. The anchor ties for car ports dont hold for crap. Cool recovery I'll keep it in mind I know some people that don't have theirs anchored very good. Great video.its a pleasure to see that jeep in action

The bearing in the primary clutch is likely dirty and seized, not letting the belt spin on it at idle. Or who knows with a Polaris

And this folks is why CVT transmissions are junk. We rented a brand new Mitsu with a CVT, midnight on a big hill on Highway 2, I said, "Cmon Debb let's see what this thing will do." At 90mph I floored it, the car began shaking violently and would not stop shaking like the wheels were gonna fall off. We had to wait for the lump cool down for 1/2 hour before we could continue. If you see a Blue tag on the trunk that says CVT, run away from the salesman.
