Many folk think when your self employed you make bags of money but when you've got to buy a new machine damn that hits the pocket deep down for a few years thank you for sharing your days graft

Especially when we have the green blasting company on hear selling the dream and saying ridiculous prices can be made from blasting totally sales pitch bull shit real world you have to work hard to make a modest living and when something goes wrong then any profit built up is easily wiped out in 1 swoop 😂

Nice job Mick, the music choice after explaining how the pipes and cylinders have no damage was appropriate! Always hurts the wallet to buy new equipment, but when the old starts costing you more time and money than it's worth, it's time to bite the bullet.

I'm not saying it's the right way but it's working for me 👌 yes ideally it should be stripped to a inch of its life and then blasted and painted but the man hours would right this rig off 😂

I doubt too many know just what graft blasting is, Mick - never mind "damage" / "not damage" - if you've any skill about you (you do) you're only blasting what needs. I'd not blasted anything for a couple weeks (TBTG :-) ) - had to blast a couple of van door hinges that got missed on a shelf instead of getting done with the rest, so they needed "catch-up" cleaning & painting.. On those theres rubber seal things - didn't hit them, they stayed mint, the rest got cleaned. Still was a pita setting up the blaster & doing even those small bits - blasting is Effort. :-)

Mick I'm sure some people will not believe the hoses were not done by you why not get an old piece that's in quite good nick or scrouge a small bit then what can they say? . Keep em coming I love the videos and I have never worked in any manual job so don't let the bastards get to you Peter

😬 I wasn't going to reply like this as I have nothing to prove but when another blaster is saying I'm doing it wrong well I think they need to stop blasting as he said 20 years experience I'm thinking it's tuck him 19 and 3/4 years to learn how to set the rig up 😂👌👍

Hi Mick, ok alternator belts. I'm not sure what size your 7/71 runs but a genuine Doosan belt is Bando. I run a 7/51 and it's a 17x1120. Which is a Bando RPF5450 I that helps 🤔. Have you changed the coolant recently 🤔.

No I eva blast stone or brick normally something that don't rust instantly when it gets wet I can add a chemical to prevent this but that adds cost that folk don't seam to want to pay

@10:50 ask "who a thar & wot du thar now". Them there cylinder rams are made of hardened chrome surface - it goes about 5mm deep - maybe more into the steel. If you want to work on them - you have to turn it in the lathe with a special tool to cut that stuff off & then you can weld it or change its shape. It is INCREDIBLY HARDENED and no shot blasting is going to kill that 5mm crust! Tell to do one Mick - they don't know sh*te. :)

I don't get paid to say this or any sort of discount off the products I have used 2 different types I the past and without pulling a company down they wasn't in the same league as the RPB nova 3 nearly perfect n every way only 1 improvement is super glue the ear things in as they clip off real easy and get lost other than that every aspect is on point I cannot say a bad word against it 👌

I personally think it's folk that use massive amounts of air combined with a boss telling them what to do and how to do it. Too scared to try and see what would happen 😏 I've been their done that and made every possible mistake thing with me I can adapt to overcome issues and give my reasons as to why I do things how I do best is yet to come as we're all still learning 😎 My youngest is still a full time job but some good news he's just about learnt how to singe thanks he nearly had it weeks back but decided it wasn't for him haha but now it's every time he gets what he wants oh and he's taking more steps still a little unsteady on old pins but won't be long hopefully ❤
@staticxmako2 жыл бұрын
if you use steel shot. or aluminum oxide you can damage those. glass will not cut into chrome plating at all really..... maybe with 400cfm it will close. but glass is not near as strong as steel shot or AO

These plant owners should know better!!! The piston rams are chrome plated or possibly polished they should be protected very well when you are blasting it will ruin the seals in no time and the pistons are toast if they are rough, not your fault they are cowboys trying to make a fast buck out of old tired machines tarted up with a lick of paint.💪💪💪
@Mobileblaster2 жыл бұрын
To be fair it's down to me to protect that stuff just that I've adapted to be able to do such work with minimal time in prep that's what other blasters cannot get the head round. That's why these videos won't really help as a how too because alot is happening behind the facade 👌
