Loved following along on the journey of this painting....the final version is a feast and a delight! Oh, also -- I keep meaning to say that I listened to your podcast episode on Authentic Obsessions and just LOVED it -- all that you say about self-talk and moving through the bad art to get to the good art...well, it just filled me with such inspiration so THANK YOU!!! I think there's far too much focus (thank you, internet) on the product over the process that folk keep trying to take shortcuts and it just doesn't work that way. It's refreshing to hear it spoken about. xo

I also think there's just something in us that makes us think art should be easy - I wonder if it goes back to our childhood when it WAS easy because we actually just enjoyed doing it and didn't care how it turned out. I was just thinking today about how people that just want to instantly be good and that's not how it works so then they give up - was just thinking how they miss the fun of the "chase" and the "hunt" and the process and the growth. It's all part of it!

I just discovered you channel 4 days ago, and from the first second seeing your art/ your personality I was blown away. Sorry but I’ve been binge watching your channel for the past days. I found so much positivity and strength in your words and art works. I totally lost the motivation to work on my normal abstract paintings (which I made in an art studio, but haven’t been able to go for months now) but now I got some sparks back. I have to say you are a nutball in the best sense. It's like being with a friend and getting inspired to do the things you forgot you loved. I'm always wanting my husband to love what I do and he just doesn't love my kind of art and it kind of bums me out and I stop playing. I need to just stay motivated and reminding myself everyone loves different things and there are people that like what I do. I've been going through all of your videos since I found you. I think this is my favorite painting so far. All the colors and well everything. ; )

You have a very pleasant personality, and I really enjoy watching a piece of your artwork process! 🤓 I needed some inspiration, as this year has been well, strange to say the least. As the introvert I am, I have been loving spending time on my interests, one of them being writing, and reading. However for some reason I haven’t been able to pick up my paintbrushes this past year. It’s like I’ve been stuck in limbo. - Very annoying at times, since painting has brought me so much joy, clarity, and sometimes straight up something resembling a therapy session.
