I am in awe with the talk. Its humbling to know that I am a Hindu and born in the country which is genesis of such immense depth in every possible field. I think I am one of lucky people to be born in Bharat and more specifically Banaras. I hope to die in Banaras too as I have started to understand, though minuscule bit that there is a reason for being born and dying in Banaras. This talk has made it stronger to believe a lot about mantras, deities, yoga, practice and consciousness. Thank you for such a wonderful eye opening talk.

What do you mean by "reputed Western Journals not by people practicing yoga". It is people like Abhinav Gupta and other Rishis and yoga exponents and practitioners who explained the mind and thought processes in the first place. This idea that what ever was discovered by ancient Rishis needs stamp of approval from the West is not very appealing. Whether people like it or not Rishis were scientists and what they wrote was science.

Very nice things he came with. So much stuffs are available in our rich Hinduism which was developed by our ancestors. But we lost those things due to evil alien islamic creatures who invaded our country and destroyed them. Now same stuff is coming back to India from west, as they are exploring, reading and doing research on it. And it is giving what today's modern human life requires. It's time for us to go back for those things / stuff to work on it and improve our lifestyles.

“The external worlds and internal worlds are same” is not an axiom. It’s an experience of those who disconnected the sensory inputs to see reality with the underlying consciousness. So, the emphasising the experiential nature is important. You have brought this out later but will be helpful to have this approach distinction made early on. Thanks for your great effort! 🙏🏼

Kaal for dimension in which we as human living controls the entire system, nature and life and energies. One of the most important component of our existence is human body. Yoga is a system developed to relieve our body out of the control of kaal so that one can get enough time to finish his designated karma and proceed towards Moksha. Woman as a creation is Shakti ( Maya) so this system can't help woman body to attain that level. It can help to fix health problems of woman body, but she can't attain final samadhi.

Its time to ask a question to Western Science- WHAT IS YOGIC ABOUT YOUR SCIENCE. We should stop being apologetic about our own Vast knowledge heritage. Namaste. I have heard from this video and your explanation of yoga, tantra..etc.. Like many people who have travelled to India..we also try to understand Vedas, etc concerning cycle of birth and death of all living beings. Among the ashrams we visited, the topics on knowledge of tantra, mantra, and yantra, given by Sri Sathya Sai Baba discourse series from 1990 July etc.to English readers are very helpful useful to practice in daily life. How does one apply mantra, tantra, and yantra in real life ? The following daily practice are recommended.; 1) Mantra = The universal energy wave guiding life force into physical inhalation/ exhalation as sound of the breath.. So ham ..21600 times. By listening to the breathing sounds one meditate on one own reality. In this way, the fear and problems of cycle of birth and death can gradually be overcome. Many desire to fear death but they should actually be careful of what birth brings to many animal, humans as karmic problems. Therefore, the next step after listening to breathing is to listen to tantra machine (heart beat) In this tantra heart machine practice it is just a matter of listening to one own heart beat. The conscience of right and wrong action, will be revealed. Every human who listened to his tantra heart conscience will know directly and not willfully do harm to others. Thd 3rd step is the yantra (physical body +nervous system.) If the mantra and tantra life force +conscience are done, the yantra or physical responding to the call of universal of 3 gunas consciousness giving rise conscience, feeling, seat of knowledge, emotions, of all humans, animals, Thus, sentients beings, animals humans are actually guided by mantra, tantra, and yantra to devolve or evolve in cycle of endless birth and death of 8,400,000 earth species of life forms.

17:57: No! How Body gives stress signals before Mind? That's not possible in this existence, because what is directing the body to sweat and give certain stress signals and changes is the MIND itself - subconscious mind. So this Iowa game study findings missed this point? To translate these neuro muscular responses into thought and then words is the process of Conscious Mind which does seem to lag behind. But we must interpret about Mind as a whole. The Iowa game study is also treating body and mind separate.

Good point. But he is using word mind simply as cognitive biological process of the body, not the prAnic mind which exists beyond the immediate physical body. Our yogic body-mind field would likely be chitta, and the universal would be chit

Nice insights , I would not be harshly critical on some points because the author had clearly indicated that his speech or lecture is more oriented to what they taught him in the western schools , one example -As per our indian scriptures SOOKSHMA Sharira is NOT inside the Gross body , there is no overlapping of sthula ,sookshma , karana sarira but having said that anything that manifests in the sthulA , starts from karana sarira , then enters the sookshma and then only the sthoola , whatever he maps the organs and components of the brain is purely sthulA Sharira , I disagree on his explanation ,but again in spite of his limitation of having toe in line with what he learned ( Note he is a practising doctor and would be in trouble if he goes deep into Chakras and the upanishadic Patanjli based definitions of sookshma srira ) , he has tried his best to walk the razors edge ,good job

In your words, you are talking about as if you were looking into the Hinduism from other planet with a mere lense. This video is indeed good for the re-researxh of the topic which is already there from the scratch. Why do you have so much time to waste? Ask your US counterpart if it's okay to put a research paper by Indian villagers on their (US) cultural activities? They will not accept it, why you are accepting it from them to misinterpret out ancient text? If you have not studied Vedas, don't talk about it. It's that simple, or many uneducated people can talk about stupid modern science too.

A valuable contribution. I am working on, writing/studies about the bridge between the science of the soul and science, particularly, with a focus on the praxis of a hypothesis, a fundamental outline of statements and assumptions of theory which is intended so as to begin mapping a closer tie between the spiritual and the scientific. It is a lengthy work, of which I have written the preface and provided a forward, and am currently compiling the process of a scientific hypothesis from which a theory, to bridge the gap, is intended. 292 Mantra, Tantra, Yantra Tara of MAN, TAN and Yan. Tara is ra (ര) of TA, the other. A class of TA. The science is essentially classification. We are able to classify and use the information of classes (tarah, Hindi) for our benefit. We are able to modify properties of class and transform it into another class. Does TARA in the above words mean the effort to modify a member of a class and make it transit the boundaries of the group. So could we surmise… Mantra is an invocation demanding tara, the transformation of "man", the mind. Chanting might urge one to undergo transformation by taking solemn DECISION on the way one would deal with the neighbour. And…. Tantra is an effort to transform the "tan", the body. Does it mean just physical exercise to alter the appearance of the body. And .. Yantra is an effort to transform something without the involvement of man and tan,Yan? Yantra is the Indian word machine which helps avoid active involvement of physical and mental efforts. So-called spirituality jargons deviate the meaning as some combination of geometric figure which would bring in luck. Yantra is careful automation which is infact lucky in offloading mundane routine work. Transforms mode of getting work done (yan ! "e+a+n" !). Foolishly we stick to geometric patterns.. Wisely some of us (donkey which takes narrow gate and path) geometry as a loner ( eg. Pythagoras the lonely struggled with pattern of right angled triangles, patterns of chemical bonding understood and lonely bell lab scientists altered the geometry for creating n type and p type material for miniaturisation of electronics). Worshipping geometric pattern mindlessly with the hope that it would bring in luck is foolishness. See the English "trans-" prefix of transport, transfer, transform, transit etc. mean exactly the same. Movement across tara! Mantra is an invocation to move from chittha vrutthi (MA, selfish thought pattern) through chittha vrutthi nirodha (yama) .. if mantra triggers decision, decision to be born again , chida Nanda roopah ( to become a chid mentally) Sivoham (a child of civility ).... Tantra is transformation happening to tan, the body, physique, form, pattern, consequent upon decision to transform mind following the invocation of mantra. Yantra is the automation taking leverage of geometric pattern, forces, environment which takes care of mundane mindless tasks of everyday life. Mantra and Tantra culminates in scientific temper for creating Yantra.

I am not convinced that it’s dangerous, but They may stop working for him because they are not being energized in a “sacred” space, so subtly they lose their power for him. Incidentally, Om creates the sacred space - but that itself needs to be uttered in “sacred” ground.

Why are you trying to reduce the knowledge that has already been discovered? You are western educated and the mind will be within the frame of what you have studied. By comparing and analysing, you will simply try to convince people that there could be something deep in Tantra, and that too looking from the prism of your educated mind. The person who practice Tantra should be talking as to what exactly the knowledge is all about and not mere brain scanning slides. This is very ill-prepared for a topic like this. Don't you wonder why it was called "Vigyan Bhairav Tantra" in the first place? In American terminology, you are doing "mumbo-Jumbo" repeating the same thing which is already crystal clear to suit the reduced western knowledge which is simply objective as its foundation.
