This trick is so elegant. It’s the simplicity which makes it so elegant. The audience lose out in a way; they see a fantastic illusion, but the simple way the effect is executed will always be hidden from them. You could also ask the spectator to note the bill number before and after, to prove you didn’t switch the bill. This is one of those few tricks that I will enjoy performing even more than any audience will enjoy watching.

Great trick. The double could be any card as it is not displayed.

Agreed. But I might casually show the QD during the precess and say something like, "And I'll use the QD for the top of the money sandwich. This sure is an odd sandwich that has the "bread" in the middle. haha." So they see a loose QD come from the top of the deck and they see a stapled QD when it's handed out at the end for inspection. Takes some suspicion off the stapler.
