This song is simply gorgeous! All three versions he released are awesome! Such a HEALING tone and beautiful rap lyrics by DMC. I have been a HUGE Santana fan since 1975 when I went to live my aunt and cousin in the Mission District - I was 14. I've seen him "live" at least 150 times since then and he never ceases to amaze me. 76 years young and he still plays like he's in his 30's. Love you Carlos!! Not bragging, just sharing...It was Monday March 11,1970 around 7pm. My 13th birthday and one of my sisters gave me two albums. Moby Grape and Santana, the first one with the black and white lions head. I thought that cover looked so cool so I put that on my record player first. Well I was so mesmerized by the sound that I never put the other album on and have listened to Carlos ever since. I even got to meet him once, back stage after one of his concerts. So many great memories surrounding his music...💖✨🔥⚡

Yes, you are correct but I hadn't really gotten into music yet and had never heard of Santana until that evening. I used to go to concerts all the time and can't remember how many Santana shows I've been to. I do remember seeing them as the headliner for Journey when Steve Perry had just joined and also as a headliner when a new band called Van Halen opened for them. I distinctly remember seeing Carlos standing off to the side of the stage and watching Eddie Van Halen do the Eruption solo and I knew that this new band was going to be huger! I hope that you will one day be able to see Santana play live. @@ilichiregius2884

I LOVE this track. It stirs the soul. I was 15 when I first heard of Santana when a school friend introduced me to the Moonflower album in 1977. I was hooked. The following year, we went to see Santana promote the Inner Secrets album in Manchester, England on their European Tour. I was hooked even more and have been to several Santana concerts since. Although Carlos always has a distinctive style, I love the diversity of the artists he has performed with over the years. This is no exception. I express my gratitude to everyone involved in its production. ❤❤
