well I hope you're still with us and that you got to see Santana AND that they played "Hold On", my personal favorite song by the band. I'm surprised you don't remember it getting decent rotation on rock stations in 1982.. It wasn't a number 1 single, but it was on the airwaves for a few months and then you never heard it again.. I was 10 the year it came out and I was glued to MTV at the time..of course.. but of course it was pure music then, and not the piece of human excrement that it is today.... I'm 50 now.. this brings back memories

I'll crank this song up when I'm driving because it makes me feel so vibrant. In 66 to 70 I was stationed in San Diego with the Navy and his music brings back good memories. My other favorite is "Stormy". It was originally done by the "classics IV" in 1968. Their version still sounds great. Another one "Spooky". Also like a version by the Atlantic Rythym Section in 1979. The guitar player on there rocks. There are so many great songs. I really got into "Steely Dan" Went to a couple of their concerts. Well I hope 2023 turns out to be better than 22. Take care

Oh one of his best songs. I just did lots of journaling when I first danced to this song in Provincetown, Ma in 1981!

Don't rush me just this once I want to make this moment last Slow down the pace, there's no hurry I can't let another pass by me again Let me be the one to say when I've had enough Just let me close my eyes, memorize The way things are this minute So when you're gone I can go on If memory can hold within it what I'm feeling Should time try fading or stealing something away [Chorus:] Hold on, nothing's the same Tell me why I feel this way Life wouldn't be worth living without you All along I've been the pretender But now that's gone forever Nobody's ever loved me like you do Nobody's broken through Got to concentrate, file away Every last detail Don't want to lose what's going down I want to remember everything I'm feeling Should time try fading or stealing something away [Chorus]

É mágico Santana é o maior e melhor dos guitars Man. Salve Carlos Santana.

Ian Thomas was such an incredible talent. Combining Ian with Santana was pure magic. But I must say Ian's own version of this song is on par with Santana's. Incredible talent all around.

This is a good example of music I didn't appreciate the first time around but came to like a lot when I got older. The video is really something. I could almost say it's "haunting"
