I was at this concert. It was the Loma Prieta Earthquake Benefit. The Soul Sacrifice was face melting. $5...Los Lobos played too. What a great show.

So glad to come across this video. I was at this show too. The roads were closed by the earthquake so it was pretty much just locals who were able to be there. What an incredible performance. That day's rendition of Soul Sacrifice will live with me forever.

My husband and I went to this concert the tickets were $5! This concert was after a 6.9 earthquake we had Oct 17. This concert was at Watsonville High School's field. Carlos arrived in a helicopter. This did lift the towns moral, after so much earthquake damage.

Outstanding. I saw him in West Palm Beach at the amphitheater on the fairgrounds with my son. We both bought new white T-shirts and tie-dyed them. That was back in the day when Carlos was wearing tie died shirts. Ha ha ha.

This is one of those songs that you remember the first time you heard it. When it came on the radio I was mesmerized. It was unlike anything I had ever experienced. I was 22 years old and am now 68 and it never gets old.

Excellent performance from all performers, "right on down the line". Singer nailed it! Santana runs a tight directorial ship, then rips, and everyone has a great time. "I'm so glad I'm so glad, I'm glad, glad, glad" I was born in the early 1960s and experienced this caliber of musicianship, with no autotune and miming to pollute and disinform my ears.
