Atalji was very soft in nature, I remember that when IC814 was highjacked, the meeting was going on continuously and no decision was taken in time. Pakistan was misunderstood by atalji. On one side atalji was very soft and noble person and on the other hand Musharraf was very cunning and shrewd

When he became prime minister and went to Lahore, parliament attack happened, kargil attack happened and Indian airlines hijacking happened during his term and celebrating vijay divas after getting 600 Jawan killed in kargil, shame on you vajpayee.

I think that Bajpai ji went wrong in understanding Pakistan and Pak has proved it.Till date Pak has not changed her attitude vis a vis Bharat.Pak needed tough handeling which the present BJP govt is rightely following.We must learn lessions from the history and not allow our personal opinions.Nehru was one of such person who gave personal opinion much more importance while taking decisions of National Security.

Vajpayee was no doubt very patriotic person. But found him very weak when it came to military action against Pakistan. Attack on parliament was attack on India's sovereignty. IC814 , Mr.Doval had clearly said that they tried all military type action to free IC814, however the Geography of Afghanistan, no diplomatic relation with Afghan Taliban or its then govt.
