Harsh sentencing for harsh crimes. It makes perfect sense. People won't complain about these laws when someone breaks into their house and kills their entire family

Great discussion and series, a discussion on internal hell and why atheists see it a problem as we believe on an all merciful god would be great. I have noticed a lot of non Muslims have an issue with eternal hell for non believers

Bukhari 6560 Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "When the people of Paradise have entered Paradise, and the people of the Fire have entered the Fire, Allah will say. 'Take out (of the Fire) whoever has got faith equal to a mustard seed in his heart.' They will come out, and by that time they would have burnt and became like coal, and then they will be thrown into the river of Al-Hayyat (life) and they will spring up just as a seed grows on the bank of a rainwater stream." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Don't you see that the germinating seed comes out yellow and twisted?"

Do they also have problems with eternal paradise. Why only hell? Do they fear the hell as it is Real? From an atheistic eorld view the issue should be both ways. But they never ask why there is a paradise that is eternal.

Even if one argues the avoidance of implementing certain rulings of Shari'ah may be sanctioned in rare cases. The reality is that Muslim countries for example haven't in one off or multiple cases abandoned implementing a ruling out of situational benefit. They have out and out replaced the rulings with other rulings, be it in submission to their "treaties" or International law agreements. This is what we call Istibdaal in the Shari'ah which is clear cut disbelief and the system and government and its rulers who do this are also clear apostates, this is by consensus of all the jurists. So this talk of delaying, abandoning, replacing Islamic punishments is an extremely dangerous issue and to mass generalise the replacement of Shari'ah rulings in obedience to International laws constitutes Shirk and Blasphemy, making this into an issue of benefits and harms is absurd. Do you believe in part of the book and disbelieve in others? Accepting one law of a system over the Shari'ah is no different to accepting an idol over the worship of Allah, as they both constitute slavery to its owner. One is in worship and one is in rule. Allah says in the Qur'an there is no god except Allah. Allah also says in the Qur'an the rule is not except for Allah.

Brothers one thing I have not understood. The last Part, where you talk about the people which got there eyes removed - is it applicable in the sharia as a punishment or is it not applicable because it would only be justified in that specific case? I talk specificly about the eyes, because this specific thing is not mentioned in the aya.

Perhaps another to include in the next part would be murder and what type of evidence is needed. Also the case of rape, do the same conditions apply as in zina? Do u also need witnesses for rape? or is semen inside the vagina or dna evidence enough?

For the hadd(punitive punishment laid down by scripture) the high standard must be met. Darul iftaa says: If a woman is sexually abused and the attacker is not apprehended, she may seek justice through the courts of an Islāmic state. Her lone testimony will not constitute sufficient evidence to make the hadd of stoning (for a married man) or 100 lashes (for an unmarried man) binding. Rather, the Qādī and law courts will assess all available circumstantial evidence, and if there is sufficient proof to convince them that sexual abuse took place, they may enforce some form of discretionary punishment on the attacker, like a long-term prison sentence etc

@@MohammadQasim thanks for the info. This does lead me to conclude one thing, islam puts an extreme high bar on capital punishment, which for all intents and purposes is good ofcourse. Just imagine in the case of zina, i mean for 4 people to see you having intercourse you practically need to be having intercourse in a public area.

I was always wondering if regret would excuse a person from the penalty? Like let’s say there is the required amount of witnesses or a person admits to committing the act but is sincerely repentent to Allah and therefore has admitting to it because he could not live with the burden, would this excuse him? On the other hand, Allah is even so merciful to cover our sins and He wants to repent in secret. Just honestly confused about this
