Saps and Blackjacks

As a guy who uses blackjacks as a personal defense weapon. I NEVER hit some one on the skull with it. I usually aim for the shoulder, wrist, nose, elbow, fingers and non lethal areas

@@TheMartialist i use one that is modeled after the infamous buckheimer convoy blackjack and it used for personal defense. i live in a ultra liberal city where crime is out of control so i have to carry one. i am very much prepared to face the consequences for upholding my 2nd amdendment rights and my moral duty to protect my life and the life of others

What about the face? Is that still a lethal spot with a blackjack?

@@117rebel you can hit the jaw or the nose. It would be nasty but not lethal

The ankylosaurus has a 20kg lump of bone at the end of its 3m long tail that worked the same way as a blackjack and we have never found a fossilized one with teeth marks but we have found T.Rex's with fractured legs and ribs. It weighed about 4 tons so when it moved its rear that momentum transferred through its 3m tail to the 20 kilo club.

I have made a few nice Saps for myself, just for something to do as a hobby. But I love those black jacks! So I’m going to make one of those next. 👍🇬🇧

They do look lethal. As a kid, I used to watch my brother making a version. A length of broom shank with the end dipped in lead to form a bulb. For fish, not humans.

I have a couple of those! Great weapons! I have the Boston leather 4 ply midget and the smaller blackjack. I carry them with me and in my car everywhere!😎👍

I carry one of them metal bully sticks where you shake it out and it becomes big!!!!! There great and to put it back down you would slam it on the ground you said it telescoping batons they are nasty they come with a nice sheath for the hip

I'm from Scotland I law in the USA funny it's illegal to have a sap but guns are ok

The weapons laws in the USA are loosening up in a lot of places. I still wouldn't want to stand before judge and jury if I unalived someone with a sap or blackjack, though. However, it's better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

I was actually getting excited about getting a black jack and training with it as a backup to my handgun but come to find out they're illegal to even possess in NV and most other states as well. I'd hate to get a gross misdemeanor charge for getting caught with one so looks like it's out of the question.

What about these 'cable whips', are they legal in Pa., and what do you think of them as a self defense tool?

PAs laws are strict regarding weapons. I would look them up, familiarize yourself, then call your local PD/Sheriff to see how they feel. As far as the cable whip, it could work. BUT, I think mace would be much better and be legal. I get mace isn’t sexy, but it works. Try to get ahold of mace that had OC and CS in it, preferably as strong as your local laws allow.
