@@vdandalMD I don't know which part you're talking about but I do just want to say that I've always been good with lyrics and sometimes I can predict lines in songs I've never heard before. It only happens occasionally and I don't want to sound like I'm bragging or anything, but it's possible she can do that too and she hadn't actually heard it before, especially since she's likely familiar with Taylor's writing style. I'm not saying that you're wrong, but it's just something to think about.

The way this song echoes so many other songs on Red without ever feeling gimicky about it blows my mind. The Moment I Knew ("it's supposed to be fun turning 21"), Red ("did the twin flame bruise paint you blue"), Begin Again and Better Man ("I was never good at telling jokes"), WANEGBT ("you never called it what it was till we were dead and gone and buried"). Also just. The things we know for sure about this man based on the fact she alludes to them more than once: he dated her when she was much younger; he belittled her to make himself feel big and actually told her she wasn't funny often enough that she began to believe it; he didn't even tell her he loved her until AFTER they broke up; and he didn't bother to show up at her TWENTY FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY even after he said he would. I was never aware she was redoing songs/ albums but one day me and family where at the mall and I heard this one playing. Like all of these people I too freaked out when I heard newer lyrics. Popped out my phone, scanned the song, it shows me "10 minute" version. I stopped my family in the store we were in and started freaking out because I knew some of the context lol my sister understood once I explained and we were like oh wow she destroyed him lol.
