Fascinating the pieces fits so perfect together. Beautiful. Imaganitive Listening is such great idea. I really do want explore the concept more, and not just in music and sounds, but in other forms as well.

More, more, more. Loved it. It's how I work with myself. Two or more different sounds together.

This track immediately conjured otherworldly, living, breathing landscapes for me, something like one would find in the game Caves of Qud. It had a vibe that would fit that game perfectly.

Absolutely fantastic track. Reminds me quite a lot of an experimental album by Gas of Latvia called We Are The Champions, which was composed primarily of lightly processed raw noise recorded from a detuned radio. Beauty in chaos.

Great video and collab! That's also a nice composing trick when alone: what I do sometimes is do a few takes in this spirit of imaginative listening, at different times and in different moods, and then select two or three of those randomly to create a piece.

Another great technique, somewhat related, when playing live as a duo/band, is to have each one a different piece in our in-ear returns, and improvise to it, having commited only to a track length.

Well it is a great idea for when you're playing alone, with someone sorry, nope. Hahaha. Random superposition is not my thing I guess.

really cool result, I'd never have thought of doing that. does knowing the other person's work comes a lot into play?
@sarahbellereid
@sarahbellereid 3 күн бұрын
Hmm, it definitely could come into play for sure - you could decide to play against that or with it I suppose; in this case I had NO idea what Andrew would do because his music typically doesn't fall into any one genre, so I just decided to do my thing :)

Very interesting, nice collaboration 👍. I had the impression that you both were very careful to leave potential space for the unknown other, always a good thing even when hearing the other. Have you ever tried this with a larger group?

Hey, this person dislikes the thing, let creators know how to get the likes, let's not create a misunderstanding not telling what we dislike, it's part of life, if she see face thumbnails as stupid maybe she's right, how could we calculate the thing if anyone can say a thing?
