I put in at least 20-30 minutes of yoga before and after dance sessions/workouts. Not about to let the psoas and calf muscles get tight, or it’ll leave me with lower back and knee pain. I’ve experienced it before. Didn’t start doing this until 6 months ago. The mobility I’ve gained from yoga helps me go harder than I’ve been able to before.

Wanted to thank you for this video. I'm a Bodybuilder and I'm often extremely tight. Most beginner yoga videos don't focus on what I need for relief or aren't as beginner as they seem to think. This was just right. Definitely going to be following this over and over

For a while now I have not been doing a good job at taking care of my mind or my body. I decided to change that by starting to work out again. I found this video in hopes of helping myself with the soreness. I was thoroughly confused when I started to tear up at the end. I looked it up and found that yoga can help with emotional release. Thank you for helping me heal both my body and my mind.

I teach Bodypump 5 days a week, so by the end of the week (even though I don't always lift heavy) my body is sore. I've been doing your videos for 2 weeks now, and they have helped my body to soften and release, and not be in a hypertonic state. I even mention your videos in my class. I also like how videotaped your classes. The setting is calming; and there are no distractions. I also like the fact, that the videos are just long enough for me to fit into my busy work and mom schedule. Thank you!

I'm so glad I've subscribed to this channel! The videos that are listed as "beginner" are actually for beginners. (unlike some channels I've seen) I'm doing some of your intermediate stretches, and you've really helped me out. Reminding me to not only breathe but to relax my jaw and face muscles, as I always had a tendency to be tense in my jaw while stretching. You also said something during this stretch that I never heard or really thought of until now. "The key to deep breathing isn't inhaling deeply, but exhaling deeply." I've done hundreds of guided meditations, and a decent amount of yoga. Never heard it til now. Thank you for that. It's something I've now practiced in meditation. I just signed up for your 7 day challenge, and I'm psyched to see what's in store! Keep up the great work!

I discovered your yoga videos a few weeks ago, and I've been using them a lot. Thanks so much! I really appreciate your calm voice, telling us just enough to do the movements and not so much as to confuse us. Your phrase "Let go of whatever you don't need" (actually I don't think it was in this one) has become a bit of a mantra for me when I'm trying not to strain my shoulders while cycling. Thanks again :)

This video randomly popped up in my feed and I decided to give it a try. I have chronic lower back issues and am constantly in a fair amount of pain. I have done beginner yoga before so I was pretty familiar with the moves done in this video. Immediately after following this video for the first time I noticed a huge improvement in my lower back pain. I expected to be sore the next morning but I wasn't. I was able to get out of bed with little discomfort and stiffness. Before trying this yoga, getting out of bed meant a lot of back pain and stiffness. I have done a few other videos in this channel but this particular one is the only one (so far. I'm going to try more!) that really helps with my lower back pain. I like how the instructor isn't constantly talking and the music is soothing. Love this channel! 🥰

I have done other yoga tutorials for hips and back that have never quite helped me but I saw your video and thought to give it a shot and I am so happy I did!!I feel so much better and actual got my lower back to loosen up and pop with the pretzel twist. I don't know if that's good or not, but my hip flexors, quads, hamstrings, and back feel so much looser and more relax now. You also explain things so well that I didn't have to watch the video and could just close my eyes and relax. Thank you so much for your videos!!
