I watched a ton of these before coming here and I’m surprised no one has said anything about buying the unlimited rides pass for the subway. We were here for a week and bought single rides to the hotel and then reloaded with $10 the next time. By day 3 we ran out again and that’s when I saw the option for the unlimited 7 day pass for $33.00. We got that and in the 4 days we definitely made it worth it still.

Dear Sarah, I went to RiseNY last year twice it was fantastic. The ride had me on the edge of my seat. The theaters on Broadway in NY has such good acoustics. My favorite observation in NY is Summitone vanderbilt. Also the Museum of Broaway was neat.

I totally agree on skipping the Empire State Building. I hated it. When I went, the rest of the observation decks weren't there yet, so it was the thing to do. I'm a little claustrophobic, so by the time I got to the top, I was totally over it and just wanted to leave. Worst experience I ever paid for.

Walking etiquette- as a nurse, I’m used to walking fast and sometimes even faster than other nurses, and I don’t even realize it unless someone points it out. When I went to NYC last year I thought everyone was walking slow 😂. I’m going back to NYC November 2025 and I’m taking my mom with me, we’ll be going for about ten days. I need to have her watch some of your videos so she doesn’t make the same mistakes as other such as walking slow and stopping right in the middle of the sidewalk to check her phone.

Wow, the food recommendations are horrendous. Lombardi’s pizza is not good by even the low standard in Little Italy these days- there are a few decent NY style pizza places in Manhattan, otherwise you go to Brooklyn for pizza. While Sushi Nakazawa is high-quality, it’s an over-priced tourist trap and better options in Manhattan exist. Los Tacos No. 1 don’t even make tacos properly. There is one decent place in Midtown, otherwise you go to Sunset Park for tacos.
