It truly rips you apart to listen to it...once your gone and when you listen to it.. you remember every name they called you..every hand laid...every tear you cried alone in the bathtub...so no one could hear..the times you prayed to God for answers for strength for help to understand why....you feel so broken and beaten down...you don't even recognize yourself anymore, your just a shell..walking on eggshells everyday..ashamed of yourself for staying..ashamed of yourself for loving them still..ashamed of yourself for still trying with all your might...thinking maybe just maybe one day it will change...but it doesn't. Finally you find that strength deep down in your gut and you say enough with tears running down your face...you pack up your home and you walk out the door...of the home you bought and shared all the memories...see you get stuck on the good ones, that's been the problem all along..why you couldn't leave...but then a flash of that hand or word comes across and you know your doing the right thing..and you deserve so much more. So you say goodbye to your forever home..the life you thought was forever but you do it with a calmness...knowing it's right..although it may be hard...my dad always told me the hardest things in life are the best things for you. And you remember all the times you sat on that kitchen floor sobbing..talking to god..asking him how is it there, you had gotten so low you thought of dying...you didn't want to die but felt trapped by loyalty..love..memories and fear...fear of what he may do. But then you jump...and every second of every day..yes you live in some fear and I don't know how long it takes to get over that fear...I hope it doesn't take all my life I'm far to young. But I hope and I pray that I can overcome this...I know I'm not the only one out here that has and I'd going through this...you are strong and brave and you can do this. I believe in you if no one else does.

They will message anyone and when you ask they say it's cause you are up to something. Then they will forever run and make you beg take your kids say they didn't know they had to make you ask to see them.. It goes on and on.. Beside she is the stupid boy here.

As a guy, this song inspires me to never be THAT stupid boy. I make mistakes, I'm not perfect, nor will I ever say that I'm perfect. But I hope that every damn day, I'm someone that not only I can be proud of, but my wife can be proud of, too. On top of that, this song reminds me of a couple of my friends right now. One is on a break from her boyfriend because practically every day, they fought. I spent a week with her and not once did we fight. I was even around him and her and he was ready to jump down her throat, but she remained calm and just talked. I am extremely proud of how she handled it in that moment. My other friend does 200+% of the work. Her boyfriend (the father of her kids) will complain about having to watch the kids and the only time he does is if she's at work, and even then, he'll try to get his parents to take the kids. She goes to work, comes home, has to watch their kids, clean, etc. Any time she has to go out, she either has 1 or both kids with her. I wish I could do more for them, but I'm only one person and I can't protect everyone.

I've strayed a lot from country music, but whenever I feel really down this song among a few others always welcome me back. When life gets hard it's so easy to give up, but being strong enough to keep pushing through everything makes living life more worthwhile, if anything that's what music has taught me.

this song made me think of my ex, he was verbally abusive and did some pretty horrible things, and now that i finally got away im never going back. He lost something truly amazing and i can finally see that now. I see i am worth being treated with respect and love but it took a long time for me to understand that. But the guy i am with now is incredible. So don't think all men are bad because they aren't. There are a lot of bad ones but there are bad women to and when you have a good relationship hold onto it because its becoming a rarer thing in our society.

He will reject marriage.. if it wasn't what he has planned for u. So your wrong..he don't reject people who come to him. But if the marriage isn't right if one person has good the other don't it gets destroyed. If neaither has god it never last. God does things to protect us and keep us from marriage if it is wrong and not what he wanted for us . .. I have cancer I been praying for healing for ever and nothing. But that just means eaither now or later God's timing is perfect don't do things like marriage on ur timing god sends what is best. He will let u go through lessons just to end up with blessings.. if the marriage ain't attended or in his plan he will remove u from the situation only to give u better.. god rejection means protection. He don't reject things to hurt he rejects things so u don't get hurt. He's a big god and he loves us.

The woman I love for the last 2 years used to sing the song. I love watching her sing it until she became the man in this song. Tonight I sit here singing it missing her my heart is so connected to hers yet she is the one that threw away something amazing and treated me worse than I've ever been treated in my entire life. This song represents so much to me it represents a time when we are at our highest singing together and just enjoying our love it also represents the person she became. It sucks to let somebody like that go and I don't know if I'm ever going to be able to...

Roro Sung Amen! I feel exactly the same way. However, I'm working on not caring one way or another anymore. I actually am trying real hard to let all the negative feelings I have towards him go in other words - give it to God - revenge or resentment never really works it's like drinking poison and expecting the other person to feel it's effects. Doesn't work. Let go. Let God. Be happy. & Live YOUR life. Be well. Keeping it moving...... in a positive direction!
@JamesAutoDude9 жыл бұрын
Roro Sung He doesn't necessarily need to get the same treatment to feel the way you did. I am sorry for the situation you were in but, you gotta understand that, guys show hurt/scaredness as anger. Doesn't excuse what happened, I'm just saying. Also, even if he got the same treatment, he wouldn't even remotely understand how you feel. Simply because, he's in a different frame of mind... I share this with you because I used to be that guy. I used to be so cruel... But I learned, MYSELF, that it was wrong... And looked for guidance myself. But if he doesn't want to learn, if he doesn't see it, it doesn't matter what happens to him.. .He will still think it's okay to do. Just be glad you got out of it before it got any worse. That's what you should focus on... Not on him getting the same treatment because, it's not about him, it's about you. Take care.

It also allows them to win in the end because you're sitting there waiting for them to say sorry, instead of just moving on with your life and learning to not date/find someone like them ever again... Since there are warning signs.

I've spent the last 10 months in a relationship with a man who doesn't understand that words that are said in an argument last a life time. They don't go away with a simple apology. Promises that are made and not kept are worse than not promising things at all. I've tried to forgive and forget all the terrible things that hens said to me, but i dont think i can anymore. Im broken. I have no worth or value and thats been proven to me by the lack of effort that is being shown. My heart is breaking :'(

Who said so? Who said so? Who. Your who will determine your what and your why. If you believe the who is God,thats says you are worthy, you will never be dissapointed and you will never be unworthy because God is not a cheater and he is eternal. If he says you are eternally worthy then you are. Its better when you believe that too. You are worthy, you just have to choose who you will believe.

Holy spirit speak!!! Saaaaame. I have a sinking feeling he's cheating on me. My husband is married to his job out of town and now the calls are less gym time is more he used to make it work and come home or take me and the kids on dates he's glued to his phone he goes in on days off he could care less and belittles me because he makes the money I'm not a "productive member of society" not realizing if we both worked then our kids wouldn't have any attention. Its all his dreams , his weight loss, his stamina , him, him, him I even felt like not living and my husband threw in a jab "sorry I can't be late at my job" BC I'm always depressed and running late he could care less it's like he gets off to controlling my emotions. I cry and cry and he just stares at me like I'm not worthy why would he even marry me just to hurt me? I loved him poor I wanted his TIME and honesty now he's finished college and got a good job so he can put me down and make comments and just work out of town 2 hrs away for 29 days out of the week. He's about to see me run!

If it wasn't for two stupid boys i wouldn't have what i have today the most important person in my life. Its unbelievable and painful to hear everything they did to her and still trying to do to her as we're together. The fact she still is able to love and trust goes to prove what a strong woman she is. Its taken time for her to heal and see she's worth so much but They lost someone truly amazing.

These are the type of people I want to sing this to and just knock their lights out afterwards. Just to teach them that sex is not everything in this generation.

Yeah that's kinda the way I get it also... Couldn't accept her for who she was... Then again .. depending on what his expectations were... He may not have been completely crazy... Having any expectations is just like closing your eyes and throwing a few rocks straight up then standing around hoping for the best..... Apathy ... That is the key to happiness... But a relationship with no expectations or caring ? What is the point really? Old dogs and watermelon wine for me ...

"She laid her heart and soul in your hands. And you stole her every dream and you crushed her plans." My Father and My daughter's father, right there. And I was dumb enough to believe everything the two of them said to me... My heart is hurting 18 months after I left her father and cut my own father out of my life. But... I'm better off. I miss so much about the two of them... but I don't want to be mentally abused and/or physically. So... I made the right choice. I just wish I didn't have to make that choice.

This song describes me perfectly. This describes me and my used to be crush. I loved him because he was different than all the other guys, and I was innocently in love with him. It was the first time I was in love, ever. We were never together but I swore we would date, get married, have kids, and grow old together. But.. he changed. He became one of those 'stupid boys' as soon as he became friends with them. Now, he's a complete asshole. Stupid boy.. he crushed my plans..

OMG - someone who gets it. Gracie you are my Hero!!!! I'd hug you if I could!!! **ALL** of us need to take responsibility for our choices. I've made some of my own poor (stupid) decisions, but I also own them! It's not just the guy's fault 100% of the time. It's the girls that opt to date these guys - (or, the guys that opt to date the wrong women - it goes both ways - I try not to be hypocritical). Where is the personal responsibility in our own (bad) choices?

You are right, if we want to be treated like queens we must treat our men like a king. However sometimes the guy is abusive and doesnt understand because of their environment when they were raised. Men and woman need to work on things it's not just the fault of one. We are a product of our environment and of our childhood.
