Here in Brazil’s Southeast Autumn is hitting hard this year, so I’m sneezing a lot and can’t manage to use certain skincare products with noticeable scents… Not even some fragrance/ essential oil free that don’t even irritate my sensitive skin (but can’t currently use them bc of the raw ingredients natural smell)! This Autumn (and probably Winter too) I’ll be sticking to the basics! 😐

I love this topic! the next-gen chemical uv filters have been a game changer for helping me wear sunscreen every day. My favorite so-far is the a'pieu pure block daily skin cream. Lightweight, sits great under makeup, doesn't break me out or burn my eyes! I'll definitely be trying your top picks as well - thanks Sarah!

Thank you for sharing your experience and thoughts on these group of sunscreens. I saved your favorite for future try on. I’m currently using the Vichy tinted mineral sunscreen spf 60. Repurchased it a couple times already. It’s really nice for dry skin. It’s all I wear in the summer with some concealer. Also have my eye on the mineral based Solara Suncare spf 30.

The Cosrx sunscreen always pills on my skin too and I use the Belif beauty moisturizers! I stopped buying that sunscreen because of the pilling, it started bothering me so much when I would see white balls on my face throughout the day. My fav Korean sunscreen is the Sunkiller perfect water essence, it does have an orangey fragrance to it but the application is beautiful. Really enjoyed this video, now I really want to try the Beauty of Joseon and iUnik sunscreens cause they look so nice on the skin!

Hi Sarah, I highly recommend checking out the SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum. It’s a chemical sunscreen and I love it!!!

Check out the Bellflower sunscreens (Korean, chemical). Their Avocado version - my current favorite - feels like putting on a moisturizer, and includes centella asiatica and niacinamide. Little to no scent.

The Isntree watery sun spf 50 one is actually my current sunscreen. First time I use it. It's good. no white cast at all. I would repurchase when it is on sale. That is the reason why I bought this one... was under 10$. I haven't tried the one you have though. My 3 favs so far are: G9skin (pink and white bottle... specific name escapes me now sorry). It is so hydrating and smells lovely. Everytime I use it, I love the experience of applying. The next one is: ETUDE HOUSE Sunprise Mild Airy Finish Sun Milk SPF50+ / PA+++. Can be found easily for around $10-12. Purito Green level unscented spf 50 PA++++

You definitely need to try the isntree gel sunscreen its the best ive tried! Also, purito came out with a new spf that is more matte that I think would be nice.. I've come to realize I prefer gel or lightweight cream sunscreens.. I don't see myself going back to using western spf with the exception of some from Garnier that I love

I love the Cosrx sunscreen! I have sensitive, oily skin and it doesn’t pill for me. I also love the Thank You Farmer spf, which is another cruelty-free Korean brand.

The cosrx one has been my HG for years!! I have acne prone oily skin and the hydration it adds doesnt break me out and is sooo good and feels soooo nice. Im currently trying the new Krave Beauty sun screen and it’s pretty runny…doesnt feel as hydrating but i think my skin has adjusted. Ill be trying the iunik and probably going back to cosrx hehe

Thank you for all the demos! I actually don't love the BoJ sunscreen, I find that it takes ages to sink into my skin and I'm impatient, can't be waiting 20 minutes before proceeding to do my makeup 😂 but I love the Cosrx and now I want to try the Iunik!

I dont know if this is only happening with me, but ever since I've been using the boj sunscreen, my face has become 2x lighter even though it's 40+ celsius in my country daily. I'm a south asian who's usually a medium to medium light, but now I'm a light! I've never been so pale before, does it contain bleach?

The purito and the cosrx sunscreens are my favourite. They don’t have a white cast either! I cannot do with western sunscreens they do not work well with my skin. It’s makes my skin look textured. K beauty and J beauty sunscreens are the absolute best. Changed my skin for the better.

On Stylevana, Rovectin Double Tone Up Protector has an ingredient list mentioning: (New version) Water, Zinc Oxide, Cyclohexasiloxane, Butylene Glycol, Titanium Dioxide, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil etc. Oh and the Beauty of Joseon unfortunately stings around my eyes :(

If you are looking for a mineral sunscreen from the states, Good Molecules Sheer Mineral Sunscreen. Feels like a k sunscreen, super soft and lightweight plus super affordable and accessible @ ulta

I am SHOOK at how good the Korean sunscreens are. Also shook by how crappy our FDA is. The fact that they haven’t approved these ingredients actually gives me more faith in them. If they were harmful, our FDA would approve them. (IIRC the EWG says that ethylhexylmethoxycinnamate is harmful to the thyroid. I’m sure that’s great to slather all over your neck)🤣 I can not tolerate American chemical blocks and the non-nano zinc formulas are usually sticky and not cosmetically elegant. My favorite Korean sunscreens so far are the Klairs Airy SPF and the Skin1004 Hyalu-cica spf that Dr Dray recommended. The Klairs is slightly more moisturizing but they are both suitable for my sensitive skin.

Aloe sun cream of cosrx and cosrx snail mucin essence didn’t work for me at all. And I was really disappointed with that. Both of them made my skin lill dark and have small bumps which I never had. I’ve comb skin btw

The Beauty of Joseon in my experience has the best value of all the k-beauty sunscreens I've tried because you get get it in a 2-pack. That said, there are a lot of great ones I think you should try next (in no particular order): 1. Skin 1004 Hyalu-Cica Sun Serum 2. Scinic Mild Sun Essence 3. Round Lab Birch Juice Sun Cream 4. Isntree Watery Sun Gel 5. Verdio UV Moisture Gel (this is actually Japanese, but I love it for a beach day) 6. Abib Quick Sun Stick (for reapplication)

About the Skin1004 sun serum, is it heavy on your skin? I want to find a sunscreen for the winter (though it's a bit too early😅) cause my oily skin tend to get drier at that time. Round Lab was a good choice but it wasn't water resistant. It rains a lot during the winter in my place.

The scinic Mild sun essence i've been using for a few weeks now but it has been stinging my eyes if i wasn't careful with application but it does feel nice on the skin but one of the more heavier korean sunscreens i've tried (i only tried the isntree watery sun gel and beauty of joseon )

@@SarahRoseBeauty they have various serums I'm trying the propolis and tea tree serums and both feel nice. I want to try the snail mucin and a few others. I mostly use the cleansing oil to remove eye makeup. I use retinol and it had dried out my skin so I can't use the oil on whole face unless I have a full coverage makeup or sunscreen or causes some sensitivity, but I love it as an eye makeup remover with no issues.

Which korean sunscreen will be good for oily, dehydrated, acne-prone & acne scarred skin? I have tried cosrx aloe & round lab birch juice but it makes my face extremely greasy & dark after application.. I tried Torriden sunscreen but it is hard to be blend & I notice some kinda droplets while applying.. Skin 1004 air fit sunscreen makes my skin look too tight & unnaturally white & still turns my face greasy & dark.. I have trouble choosing a suitable sunscreen

Maybe try Bellflower’s Watermelon Fresh sunscreen. I’ve heard it recommended for oily skin (assuming acne prone also means oily). And despite its fruity name, it’s relatively unscented. I personally prefer their Avocado version because it’s more moisturizing for my normal to dry skin, but both are good.

The top pick sunscreen sounds great but when looking at the ingredients, there are two forms of drying alcohol listed. How disappointing that this is a top pick. Drying alcohols can damage the skin barrier and cause skin sensitivity in the long run that can be difficult to heal. I wish that a top pick alternative was mentioned in this video.

Purito has reformulated their sunscreens since then. They now have reports on their website from the labs to back up the SPF claims. Also, this problem is not unique to Korean sunscreen brands
