As someone who is always searching for the best budget products, I really thought the Eucerin daily protection spf 30 was going to be great, but I literally have to wash it off my face and apply something else almost every time I use it. It only works (usually) if my skin is maximally exfoliated (before I start getting irritated) and also use no other products (after cleansing). It pills so much. Even on top of itself. I have heard such great reviews of this product from trustworthy derms, so that's why I say, it may not be a guaranteed dollar-well-spent. I love Eucerin products usually, just not that one. Just a note for sunscreen reviews, its super important to note the tone / opacity of tinted sunscreens for different skin tones (light/dark)

Moisturizer goes on, sunscreen, goes, all of the take care of my face products go on, foundation, eye shadow, blush... you name it goes on. Two hours later how do we put sunscreen on over all that? You're mentioned some "all in one" products that are coming onto the market & I'm very thankful. Especially because sunscreen, yes, is the most important. However this can become kinda tricky business. Messing up, gooping up the layers of powder, and otherwise, placed on the face to start the day. Have clients asked about this?

I am a landscaper and I use straight zinc. I look grey all day, but I don’t care. Anyway, I apply it every hour to 80 minutes, however, it ends up getting grass and dirt stuck in it. Every time I re-apply, I just smear dirt into my face with the new layer of zinc. It’s gross and it hurts my face by the end of the day because it’s like I’m exfoliating. When I get a chance to rinse my face with water, every now and again, the dirt and debris doesn’t come off because the zinc layers are thick and waterproof. I sweat at work so I need something that stays on. None of it comes off unless I wash my face with cleanser. I’m abusing my face all day, everyday. I have melasma so I have to wear straight zinc. Thank you so much for this video! I love EltaMD for my daily wear, and Canmake Mermaid Gel when I want to look dewy. I'll have to try out Vanicream to see if it could be a good substitute for EltaMD. Unfortunately I've found that I'm sensitive to at least one common American chemical sunscreen, but I don't know which one. I also love the HydroBoost line, so I thought that sunscreen would be good for me, but I couldn't wear it. That was when I finally realized the issue was the active ingredients, not the supporting ingredients.

The bondi sans face sunscreen is another great affordable option.. I absolutely felt in love with that sunscreen, is fragrance free, gentle for sensitive skin and won’t leave a white cast. I love it !💜👏🏻

It's great. But the eye stinging is unbelievable. I had to stop using it on my face and used it on my hands.
@sandypolsky5683 Жыл бұрын
And, the Bondi Sands Body sunscreen is the exact same as the face formula, so you get a lot more bang for your buck by purchasing the body Bondi Sands and for me with no stinging around the eyes. One of my favorite sunscreens when I do not want a tint.

I'd love it if you did a video on mineral sunscreen use and it's reliability. Weirdly, the UK website which?, An independent reviewer, tested a lot of sunscreens and most of the mineral sunscreens failed to meet the SPF label specified over two tests, and they were from big name brands with a high price tag
@wolffennec474 Жыл бұрын
But did they shake it? that's concerning
@abbaknow6869 Жыл бұрын
@@wolffennec474 which? Does lab tests and they said they sent it to independent laboratories that test sunscreens. And they do multiple tests even if it fails. All the chemical sunscreens seemed to pass, all the mineral ones failed two repeat tests, including the Hawaiian tropics milk sunscreen that I use, it's SPF 30 but provided under spf15. There was also a £36 mineral sunscreen that failed, and the companies that commented basically made excuses or argued they also have them checked. It's made me less trusting of them but I'm allergic to chemical sunscreen so I buy high spf mineral

What about European brands such as "La Roche Posay" , "Vichy" and "Avène"??

My husbands HG , Neutrogena Healthy Defense moisturizer spf 50, has been discontinued. The sensitive skin version has thick white cast and doesn't work on husbands tan skin.

For anyone who has used the Neutrogena, does it sting like acid if it gets into your eyes? I love Neutrogena products, but they burn so badly.

I used a Neutrogena facial SPF years ago and encountered this too! I just thought it was every sunscreen, now I realize it was just that particular Neutrogena one (I don't remember the exact version, but it came in a small shaker bottle)m

I always appreciate the content of your videos and this one is no exception. My five year old granddaughter has Vitiligo. I encourage her to use sunscreen especially on her face. I squirt a small dab on her fingertips for her to apply herself. I’m assuming she’s not too young, but do small children need sunscreen daily and if so do you recommend the same sunscreens as those for adults? Does she need to apply more on the area that is lighter? Thank you for all the information Doctorly provides. 👍🏻👍🏻

Some folks can't do this, but to save $$$ i use body sunscreen on my face. For my sensitive skin the only mineral sunscreen that doesn't break or dry me out is Coppertone pure and simple. It leaves a white cast, but i only use it while gardening. Korean sunscreens, which are never water-resistant, is what i go for if I leave the house. And i use a body sunscreen (derma-b). It's worth a try to see if a body sunscreen works on your face. Just keep using it on your body if it doesn't work out.

Trader Joes aren't so hard to find in metro areas, but finding one that has that sunscreen in stock IS. I just bought five because I use almost one a month and want to make it through the summer.
