What some unique garments you have sewn. That black/white/pink coat is amazing!! You have attempted more in your first year than I have in 3 years. Brilliant, keep it up! Want to see more 👍

Thank you so much Ann. It has been a steep learning curve but I've enjoyed every bit of it! What kind of things do you like to sew?

@sarahryanthestylecoach I love sewing any garments. I'm into trousers at the moment. Need some loose linen ones for summer. The most involved make last year was a denim style jacket - so many pattern pieces and lots of top stitching!! Really pleased with the outcome. Trying to sew more with my colours this year!

@@annbutler7461 Wow that sounds amazing! I must say, trousers scare me a little, getting the rise right I have is tricky. Perhaps that should be my project for this year! Becoming proficient in trouser making :)

I love your content and when you first started sharing your sewing projects I thought you had been sewing for years! I’ve always wanted to and you’ve completely inspired me. Please continue to share more sewing content! I’d also love to see the dog bandanas. 😊

Thank you so much Natalie! I love creating my own clothes and little gifts for others. Let me know if you take it up. I can’t believe I forgot to show the dog bandanas 😆

I was forced to take up sewing when my mother sent an unannounced sewing machine as a gift. I had to figure it out all by myself. There was a great deal of cursing involved. I started off good but when I got to the first clothing project - pajamas-my motivation fell apart. Somewhere in my closet is a pair of pajama shorts missing a waist with what I'd call a pajama vest missing sleeves and any sort of fastenings. It's sad. lol I love all your projects. The blue sleeveless suit? piece is stunning on you. And you wear your cape and coat statements so well. I'm so curious about how you're going about drafting your own patterns. As a plus-sized petite woman, I can see how being able to use your own clothing to draft a pattern would be excellent. (Quality plus petite clothes are hard to find.) You're making me want to take it up again...maybe. 🤣

You can do it! I’m glad nobody pushed me into sewing because that would have put me off. I learnt to draft patterns from various KZbin videos. There’s so much information out there! It’s really fantastic especially if buying off the rack is tricky ☺️💕

Please can we have another video to show the dog bandanas? 🙂

Omg I forgot the dog bandanas 😆 I also had a skirt that I forgot to put in this video. So it’s ’almost everything I made in my first year of sewing’ 😅

You have an awesome collection 🙂 Expecially the cape and the coat with the pink lining. Yes, an Overlock is fantatstic to have. It makes everything look neat and clean.

Thank you! Yes the coat and cape are my pride and joy out of the collection. And the green and black dress too. There is such a difference from my first dress to my most recent! A fun year of sewing!

One of a kind items! That’s very cool! Do you have any plans in mind for your next projects??
@sarahryanthestylecoach9 күн бұрын
Thank you so much! Yes, It's nice to know that nobody else has the same item! I have quite a bit of fabric accumulated so I have to think of some projects for them. I have nothing specific in mind just yet. Watch this space!

Oh my gosh you’ve done so much already! Everything you’ve made is so beautiful 😍😍😍 Honestly I think wanting to throw everything (and maybe even yourself) into the sun is just part of the creative process 😂 At least it is for me and my perfectionism. I love sewing because you only need a needle and thread to start. It’s faster by machine but hand sewing is fun too!
@sarahryanthestylecoach9 күн бұрын
Thank you so much! I did some hand sewing over the weekend for buttons and snaps etc, I must say I really prefer the machine!😅

@ True, I must try stretch fabrics on the overlocker. I believe it's much easier :)
