He could just be really empathetic to what his mom wanted. I’m not sure that any kid can understand preemptively the difference between having a brother vs a sister but he probably can pick up on body language of the people around him

Congrats Sarah and Kurt. I kept thinking boy 99% because of the way you said you’d have 3 boys yrs ago and it’s so crazy how you imagined that feeling so long ago and it’s come true. The journey I’ve watched you on since before you even met Kurt…..just the growth and the success and how uve handled the ups and downs and always remained raw and open with your us the way you wanted and the way we all love. You are such a great mum. Watching the way you handled Fox and his response and how you handled the situation was so beautiful. How old is your first son ? I’m 21 weeks pregnant with my second son… don’t feel alone. I’ve grieved hard for the daughter/s I always thought I’d have (we are not having a 3rd) so I totally understand your emotions. I just always assumed I’d have a daughter (or at least one lol) so it’s been a letting go process… in Australia where I am you can find out early the gender very early by a simple blood test who is what I did at 10 weeks as I knew I would be vulnerable to gender dissapointment ..Any advice is allow yourself to feel what ever emotions like disappointment sadness or anger that comes up without telling yourself what you should or shouldn’t feel. You will move through the grief much faster if you just allow your self to feel into the depths of your sadness ❤ and don’t feel guilty! Your allowed to grieve the idea of the daughter you thought you would have and be greatful for your beautiful boys at the same Time ❤you not alone xx

@@rawganic5183 my first son is 20 months old. I'm from Czechia and we don't have early glimpse or sneak peak available unfortunately. Even if you pay for expensive nipt they can't tell you the gender before ended 12 weeks to avoid abortions due to gender.. So I saw it on my scan at 14 weeks for the first time. It just seems like everyone around me gets girls and I can't have even one 🥺 so I'm glad that Sarah is so happy about it.. ♥️

Gender dissapointment lsnt really talked about here in Australia yet I’m sure it’s common! Makes me wonder if it will only be a matter of time before laws are brought into place here too and women are no longer able to find out the gender so early!

its the way you and Kurt are looking at each other gutted when Foxy gets upset. Yall did such a good thing making him feel acknowledged and validated. This is so so important for our children. It's also the way Sarah's foot is propped up all awkward and uncomfortably just so Foxy can be as comfortable as possible... I deeply feel how fox has felt. When I was pregnant with my third I had a gender test gone wrong saying boy but confirmed baby girl. It was hard at first. Sometimes life isn’t the way we pictured it! I have three girls! I love my girls whole heartily. But I’ve always wanted to have a son. Watching our son that is a mini me of my me or my husband. Having the son and mother bond. We are incredibly blessed to have our family and see what happens in the future. That’s in the hands of god 🤍

This hits so close to home in this moment. We have two girls and just found out our third and last baby is another girl. Since I was very young -- about 7 or 8, I knew I always wanted a little boy after I became very close to my baby cousin and loved caring for him at my grandmother's. Mourning a type of relationship you'll never have the opportunity to experience your whole life, like mother/daughter or mother/son really hits hard. And you feel guilty because so many others have it worse and can't conceive. It isn't that I'm ungrateful that I have the opportunity and am beyond blessed to be pregnant with a happy, healthy third baby. I absolutely am. It's just hard to know I'll never experience having a son when its something you hoped so hard for for so long, and my family taking it hard, like Fox is, hurts even more and has been difficult to navigate with young kiddos. I know we'll all come around in our own time and thia baby will complete our family and be loved unconditionally, but I think it's also normal and okay to need time to accept a dream isn't going to happen. It doesn't mean you won't love the gift of life you're given just because it didnt play out how you imagined.

I have 2 boys and know I'm done having kids. I totally understand how mourning the mother/daughter relationship is a completely separate emotion from being so excited to have another boy! I love that my boys have each other as brothers, but it took me a long time to grieve the fact that I won't have a daughter to teach her what periods are or share my clothes and makeup with. And then knowing that my potential grandchildren, as their grandma, I will come second after their maternal grandma. These are things I have come to terms with now but it took a while for me to get there.

I personally never really get why parents ask kids do you want the baby to be a boy or a girl constantly before they find out the gender... It makes the kid develop a preference and gives them the idea that they have some form of control over which gender it will be. They then get so used to the idea of their preferred gender that obviously it's going to be such a let down and so upsetting to find out it's not what they had been talking about and dreaming of constantly. Had they just referred to it as the baby and not placed such a big deal on the gender they wouldn't have had any reason to be upset finding out the gender.

Fox is 5, not a toddler. He understands that babies are born not or girl. It is normal for him to ask his parents, guess and have his own personal desires. Fox is also extremely socially aware and mature so understands everything that is happening. All is good Emm🤦‍♀️

When I was pregnant with my first I did not care if it is a boy or girl. But then with my daughter I really wanted another girl to have two little sisters. I have 3 boys and I totally get that feeling of not having a daughter and not having that relationship or not seeing my husband with a little girl… but I wouldn’t change being a “boy mom” for anything!!! Congratulations to you and your family!

oh, i am in tears watching fox getting emotional over not having a sister. he is the sweetest and the most in-tune with his emotions. i have 3 brothers and remember feeling the same when we found out the youngest was a boy too! and you never know, my grandma had 4 boys and had my mom 8 years after her last boy!

I felt all the feels of the never having a girl on and off... we didn't find out the gender until birth but he is absolute perfection and the perfect addition to our family and we couldn't imagine life without him! Congratulations. As a mom of 3 boys, I can say, my last pregnancy was a bit heartbreaking when I found out I would be having another boy for my final baby. I grew up without a relationship to my own mother, and never had sisters, so having a daughter was something I really wanted to experience. I had a good cry over it, and surprisingly moved on pretty quickly. My baby is now 19 months old, and he’s completed our family in the most perfect way. We may never have daughters, but let’s hope we have the most amazing daughters in law 😅❤️ Hoping for a healthy pregnancy, an easy birth, and the sweetest little baby boy! 🙏🙏

I always wanted a girl and I just found out we re having a second son. It is just as you be said, realising that you will never have that mom-daughter relationship is so hard to navigate but at the same time I ce always knew I was going to have 2boys and I am sooooo happy with it. Yay! Congratulations. Gender disappointment is totally normal for parents and siblings it doesn't mean your not happy and excited and grateful. Sweet Foxy boy I also have boys that need a lot of emotional support and you're so amazing in how you supported him in his disappointment.

I have felt all of those emotions. As a mom of 3 boys I was so happy to have a third boy! There have been times where I have seen a super cute outfit or something and thought "if I had a girl I would get that for her" etc, but they are few and fleeting. I just cuddle my nieces when I can 😊 blessings to you all! So happy your baby is healthy 💙
