Not sure if u know this Phil But an few weeks back Cristian Craighead appeared at a Trump Rally in Philadelphia ( suited &,booted) speaking in support of DT.( He got to meet DT after his Hostage rescue in Kenya) And this wasn't even Org by the Foreign office ( who apparently were quite miffed that this happened without them being informed,& the proper Protocols being being observed) But I was wondering if DT people had spoken to him about his security arrangements? As I previously said, I had some little dealings with the USA Secret Service. I found them robotic, had no flair or talent for lateral thinking. All by the book. Robotic, top down structure. No allowance or contingencies for left field problems. Typical Americans, all image, little substance or ability to cope with backers problems. Their way or the highway attitude and an arrogance bordering on stupid xenophobia. Hail and salutations from Belfast Northern Ireland 🇬🇧

Why you see so many of their SF in such awe of UKSF, usually. All the stuff you describe!
@markfullbrighton5070Ай бұрын
No disrespect but I highly doubt that you have ever worked with US Secret Service. Some of the Secret Service are former American SF soldiers, and they are far more skilled and tougher than you could ever dream of. Trust me, they would wipe the floor with your silly ass. Just have a look at how successful American Special Forces have been in the last few decades with rescuing hostages and killing High Value Targets. You're not qualified to tie their shoes let alone have a complaint against them. Stay in your lane silly boy.
@markfullbrighton5070Ай бұрын
@@brianboyle2681 That's not really impressive because there are just as many UK Special Forces soldiers who are in awe of American SF, especially considering what they have accomplished in the last few decades.
@Abefroman-lq3mdАй бұрын
@@markfullbrighton5070 . Their accomplishments have been overshadowed by their greed, stupidity and incompetence! There have been far more US FS feck ups made public than is normal. The US has money and size. They through technology and manpower at things, but, in a lot of what they do, lack one special thing, creativity. You do not see the British government “bumming and blowing” about what UK SF do in the shadows. The incompetence and down right criminality of DEVGRU operators has been a huge stain on the US military.
@markfullbrighton5070Ай бұрын
@@Abefroman-lq3md No disrespect but your comment is entirely stupid. Firstly, can you please give me some examples of "their greed, stupidity, and incompetence?" Have American SF made mistakes? They certainly have. But so has every SF unit on the planet. The SAS, for example, have had quite a few of their own fuck ups. No SF unit is immune to screw ups. Secondly, your comment about creativity is laughable. Creativity is irrelevant as long as the job gets done. Do you think the woman that was rescued by SEAL Team 6 gave a shit whether or not they were being creative? Do you think the 70 ISIS hostages that were rescued by Delta Force gave a shit whether or not they were creative? Of course not. All that matters is that they got the job done. And that is what American SF are fantastic at. Thirdly, you don't actually see much of the US government talking about the exploits of their SF and their missions. Rather, what you have is a lot of former members going online talking about their experiences. You'll notice that a lot of British SAS soldiers do the same thing. Look at how many SAS and SBS operators have KZbin interviews talking about their experiences. I mean, they even made a tv show called SAS: Who Dares Wins. You can't blame the governments for what these operators choose to do once their careers are over. Lastly, what evidence do you have for your ideas about SEAL Team 6's incompetence and criminality? Have there been bad ST6 members? I'm sure. And I'm sure there have been bad SAS operators. Just because there are a few bad apples in each group is not an indication of how bad the units are themselves. Again, I would think that the astonishing numbers of hostages they rescued certainly wouldn't think they were incompetent. If I recall correctly, the British government even asked advice from ST6 in regard to CQB because they are considered one of, if not, the best SF units in the world for CQB. Again, if they were as incompetent as you're putting on, do you think your own government would ask them for advice?

I can't imagine why your man there was equipped with an AK47, even with a telescope sight! But maybe he had no other firearm when he decided to take a shot at the failed president. It's a weapon reknowned for not being very accurate, even with a tele-sight. And at those distances? Why do it? I've no idea if it's already been mentioned, but when Phil says: "Let's take/have a butcher's", he's using so-called "Cockney slang" . whereby "a butcher's" means a "butcher's hook" or, for the colonial cousins, "a look". And, in the meantime, many Cockney slang expressions have become part and parcel of everyday language in British English. Cockney slang normally consists of two connected words to convey the meaning. For instance, "apples and pears" means "stairs", but you only mention the first word as in: "I'm going up the apples"; "sky rocket" denotes "pocket", so you could say to a person: "I know you've loads of "bread" (bread and honey - money) in your skies. Hope this helps. MsG
