You need a complimentary video to this one about appropriate vs not appropriate reactions to rejection. You touched on it slightly with the "ok, have a nice day" and just walking away when they give you a cold shoulder, but we all know there are many many more ways flirting can go bad. Could be a funny video.
@ziloe6 жыл бұрын
Realistically, all of these would have gone bad, because the follow ups post introduction, would have led nowhere in real life, unless the interested party was to ask if they could go somewhere together (like for coffee) or talk another time, i.e asking for a number. That said, people need to stop putting their ego into everything they do. You can be the sweetest peach, but some people don't like peaches and you just have to accept that.

Honestly this is adorable and super helpful. Also my favorite Tinder move: when a person I match with actually reads my profile and responds to it in a thoughtful way before we talk. Can’t STAND when someone clearly doesn’t read it. And that goes for what ever kind of interaction I’m looking for. A hookup/date/relationship, it doesn’t matter. If I can’t tell that you at least recognize me as a person before anything else then I don’t usually respond
@wildwesley93286 жыл бұрын
These work (for the most part) for other types or relationships too. Especially the whole listening to people’s stories and treating them as human beings. For instance, I always try to listen to people and try to understand what they are telling me, but so many times in my life, teammates, or classmates who I’m working with, or sometimes “friends” have either visibly stop listening to me, or cut me off to talk to someone about something else without apologizing or returning to our conversation afterwards, or both. I always try to go with the flow and not let it affect me, but it makes me feel like shit because I am an ambivert and I don’t really talk to people I don’t have a level of trust with or if I’m uncomfortable in the environment. I know I can occasionally talk a lot especially when it’s something I am pretty passionate about, but if you don’t have time to listen to me or if I’m boring you then tell me, don’t add to my insecurities about how much I talk.

Coming out of a relationship but even before I always felt bad at flirting. Like Im told Im smooth and flirty and fun by people I am not even trying to flirt with. But when I actually like a girl I get shy and awkward and tend to stick my foot in my mouth. Really its just about expectations. Or hope. Letting those go and just appreciating the moment that I get to talk to a girl I like even if its for a short time was a game changer for me. Thanks for the tips.

Hey Stevie I live in Ireland and I don't think it's a safe place to come out in my school. There is literally no lgbtq+ sex Ed but the teachers all say they support it. The majority of Irish teens are homophobic and they don't even realize it. Everytime they use being gay as an insult it really hurts me. Even my closest friends would say something like that without knowing what they're saying. I'm not out at my school.( You can prob tell why) Your videos really help me come with everything and you help me accept who I am. Thank you for helping and teaching me about everything other people aren't comfortable talking about. You're a lifesaver.
